The Blob has limited losses and overwhelming firepower while the Sniper has the ability to, 90% of the time, pick his fights and run to live another day if wounded.

Exact same issue. I've spawned at the very beginning of a match, straight from War Barge, right smack dab in the middle of 4-5 enemy clones. At least give a guy a fighting chance. Sucks being spawned out in the boonies, but it's better than in the middle of a hostile crowd.
