I've noticed that people seem to hate using drop uplinks. I try to place them behind cover not too far from hostile cap points, which you'd think would make them ideal for helping us assault the location. They go unused. In ambush maps where only there are no normal spawn points you'd think that having a singular spawn point would improve our team's concentration of force and make us more likely to win. But my uplinks go unused. Why? |

I believe that only your squad members can use the drop uplink spawn points, which is a poor design decision IMO. Wouldn't be so bad if there was 5-6 players in a squad. |

The guys in green instead of blue or red are your team mates. |

They have a shorter Spawn timer, and get you into the action quicker. Anyone can use them on your team. |

I put a droplink down on that rubbish open ambush map, and whenever I got the team spawn SP I looked behind me to see if it was a green squad member, and it was, 5-6 times. We had plenty of our team there so there was plenty of reason for everyone on our team to use it, but it was just the players in my squad. |

I play a medic/uplink logi myself and always try to do this on heavily contested control points. I try to make it a habit of getting on the mic and saying "Uplink placed on overlook of point so and so" that way the group knows my intentions. I am glad to see good uplinkers think alike |

I ordered a mic off Amazon, because screw me if I'm gonna pay $80 for the ones they had at Walmart, and it hasn't arrived yet. I'm hoping that'll help. Can you confirm that blues* can use them?
*Thanks for pointing out that thing with squads, Bo Tracta. TIL. |
