I've been thinking about the whole turning cap thing, and thinking that the trackball mouse could work with this pretty well.. has anyone tried it? Sure, you won't get snap turns like PC games, but if you can get the sensitivity right, I imagine this might work pretty well.
Also, can anyone get the G13 or similar "gaming keypad" working with Dust? Sure, I know you can't program it via the PS3, and there are no drivers with it, but has anyone tried setting it up and plugging it in to use?

My nostromo works fine so far but it remembers the bindings from its last interface with the computer so it's all numbers right now rofl, but since I defaulted it works wonderfully just have to use the computer program to set up what buttons it's using so it works best with the game
Also my g15 works but haven't tried any specialty buttons |

well I normally use my Razer NAGA, I've been a Razer fan since the Diamondback, but trackballs should spin and spin without running out of desk space.
I figure if this guy can do trackball this well, I should be able to decently.

If it doesn't work well, I'll just use it elsewhere.
I'll hold off on any gaming keypad, but glad they're working. |

Nostromo N52 works but does not have internal memory so it can not remap the keys. The current DUST 514 keymap makes using it difficult for me.
The Logitech G700 works. It can be reprogrammed but I have not tried it. Some drivers will not accept keystrokes from the mouse so that will have to be tested.
I will be trying out a G13 this next week. It does have onboard memory so I have hopes for it. But I have not used one before so I don't have experience with the way it feels. |

been using my g15 on the ps3 for a while to fast type things in several games, but don't know if the programmable keys will work or not.
As for a trackball, its all I ever use even on pc fps. I use a one of these Logitech Trackman (yes the old wired one hence the poster )
I used both that mouse and the keyboard today. Was a bit of fun but I seem to have got use to the DS3 now so I'm not too sure if I'm going to bother using the kb/m for a while or not.
Also there are a few bugs when using the kb/m I had my only in game crash while using one, and some of the controls don't work very well. Though I do prefer the feeling of the mouse wheel to change weapons, as its something I'm use to from the battlefield series. |

I never really liked a track balls. Something about playing a game and with balls at the same time never sat right with me.
Good ole mouse is working good for me, doing alot better than with the controller. |

I'm using a wireless Logitech M570 unified with a wireless K340. It still sucks, trust me. The sensitivity is bonkers - at 100 the cursor twitches everywhere but you still turn slowly...anything less and it's relatively okay but you still turn like a Panzer tank. |

I'll probably try my M570 this weekend. I've just been too busy with Planetside 2 lately. |

I know it sounds kind of egoistic to say it here, but i am working on a list with working and not working input methods ( which you can find here ), so i'd really like to hear how it went for you with the M570 Mobius (its at the moment listed as working flawlessly - yay), and if i weren't so completely tired i would search for any new input devices listed here to add to the list - which is another reason i post here, so i can revisit it easily tomorrow without searching for it . . .
One question though: You are talking about the Razer Nostromo (/n52) right? i ask because i listed it under keyboard, since it looks like a little gaming keyboard on the pics i found. . . Did i make a fault there or is my mind just playing me tricks?
Edit:
Oh and hi Arno Thlathi should i change the mouse keyboard combo you use from working flawlessly to working with problems? |

So, some of the Nostromo gamepads can remember their settings from the PC?
... Does this work with macros?
The only reason I ask is because of the Tactical Assault Rifle. It's got decent damage, accuracy, and RoF but it is not an automatic. A macro can fully exploit that RoF, I'm thinking.
There was a game I used to play with no cap on the fire rate for one of the weapons so someone I knew just made a macro that discharged the entire clip in one shot. Instant death XD. |

There is a fire rate cap on every gun so you couldn't abuse it as much as you think, especially as the recoil would be insanely difficult to control. however hipfiring the tactical with a macro could be problematic. That would probably do more dps than an SMG. |
