After release trying to find a PS3 for cheap... months. Finally getting all the odds and ends of my home network and the PS3 up and running... days. Waiting for the servers to come online... about a week. First 15 seconds of actual play... a question pops up into my head... ... WHO THE F* WAS THE LEFT HANDED DUMB SH AH* THAT CAME UP WITH THE STICK LAYOUTS AND BUTTON CONFIGURATIONS???!!! In NORMAL MODE also known as RIGHT HANDED, the LEFT STICK is for moving FORWARD AND BACKWARDS and for STRAFING LEFT and RIGHT and the RIGHT stick is for TURNING AND LOOKING UP AND DOWN... on nearly EVERY SINGLE FPS GAME EVER CREATED!!! It feels like one guy programmed the buttons, and then a two year old programmed the stick layout. The ENTIRE control scheme, no matter what configuration you go with, is completely A BACKWARDS!!! And the second question I have is this... ... who's the **** who thought it would be a good idea to make it so you CANNOT change the stick configuration seperate of the button configuration??? CCP - DUST 514 control scheme team... ... Wake up and try researching OTHER FPS's... BEFORE you try to MAKE a FPS that SUCKS and is COMPLETELY unplayable. By the way... I particularly like the boxer configuration on another BETTER FPS that I am starting to think has a MUCH more COMPETENT design team on it.

And so far the controller layout on default is pretty much right on with other FPS Yes, you can switch contoller layouts... the BUTTON configuration is not my main issue, although I would like a few more configuration varieties... ... MY issue is the STICK LAYOUT. If I choose righty, it's backwards. But if I choose Lefty, now my buttons are backwards. In EVERY FPS I have played in the last 15 years, the sticks default layout is... Left stick = move forward and backwards, and STRAFE (that side stepping movement) left and right. Right stick = TURNING and LOOKING up and down. EVERY FPS I have played either that is the default stick layout, or there is an option to switch it TO that layout WITHOUT having to switch the button configuration as well. All i am asking for, is the option to switch my sticks to what I listed above... WITHOUT, having to switch my BUTTONS to a different configuration. And then maybe make a button configuration where I can use one of the shoulder buttons for melee instead of a stick or the x or square. And having the ZOOM set to the same stick that TURNS the character... do you have any idea how IMMPOSSIBLE it is to maintain holding the zoom stick in, AND trying to turn it to follow a target at 1000 yards. It DOESN'T WORK!!!

Vehicular kills are just as valid as weapons and melee kills. It doen't matter how you do it, just that you get it done. And comparing a VIDEO GAME to real life is pathetic unless you are bringing a new feature that makes the game better and more realistic. And ROE doesn't say jack about flattening crunchies IRL. Not sure about your SP jump for massive amounts of kills but, this isn't EVE, this DUST 514. The only thing the same between them is they are played in the same universe. Space Ship game combat with nothing more than a 5 button reprogrammable mouse is WAY different than ground pounder face to face gaming combat with a multi-button controller.

Then your controller is retarted or your rally really HIGH, because my controller on default the sticks are how you say want them sence day one lol All I am asking for is the ability to change my stick layout, SEPERATE of my button layout. That's it.
