I'm using the 1.5x active booster and I can't imagine being a new player with the standard rate.
I'd say this 1.5x or 2x needs to be the standard.
New players will need to start with more SP than what we were given with Precursor 1.0. People will make mistakes and need to experiment to find what they like. This putting equipment on the 1,4 & 5 level tiers is just, well, the exact words that came to my mind when I did some math about how sp requirements grow with level progression were "what a**holes". I know the nice designers of Dust 514 are not a**holes, but that was my instinctive reaction at the time.
Passive SP you say? How interesting, yes, I've heard of it, but it doesn't get shown anywhere in my game (oh, wait, there it is) so how will a new player know about it exactly if it's so subtle? Hell, I forgot it existed and had been mentioned in earlier interviews until reading the forums. |

I've already paid money and it isn't fast enough. What's a moocher gonna think? (Perhaps I shouldn't say moocher, the business plan around free-to-play is the fact that even the freebies are providing content for the people who do pay, and I find poorly armed militia outfits to be excellent for this). |

Skill for non boosted could be 1.2 or .3 higher and then the 1.5 to that though its a little to sluggish |

Just be happy its not like EVE SP which is about a mil a month and yes the skills in EVE do cost just as much as they do in Dust. |

Over the past year my eve character has completed about 10 skills. Dust is pretty speedy. And remember that this isn't going to be a game directed at people who drop a game with the next new title comes out. Some of us will be playing this for years. |

You all are used to playing proto suits after a week. It's fine like it is. If it was really fast, people wouldn't have anything else to level up for. |

Although problems getting in battle have been plentiful, I tried to make a fitting, but so far I can't make one that offers performance worth paying Isk or Aurum for. I am simply better off with the starter fittings, which means I am not trying things, which in interactive entertainment means death.
While the rate may be fine, the initial sp allocation needs to be bumped up. |
