I personally consider this a bug but if you think otherwise then please move it to the request forum.
I tried healing a guy for the first time but for some reason I couldn't hit him, I wasn't injecting. That's strange, because he's right here in front of me. Then I look at his "heal me" call sign flashing a few feet away and realize that I'm supposed to use it on the place where he died, not on the avatar itself. I end up injecting nanites into the dirt. The planet accepts my offering and blesses me with a revived ally.
I'll stop here because you can tell where I'm going with this. |

I noticed that when I was being healed. The guy injected the dirt a couple feet away from me & I was thinking, what the hell are you doing, then poof, I was revived. |

Bumping because I still think this needs to be addressed. AND YES, I will still treat this as a bug.
In a recent battle prior to this bump, a sniper got killed and his body slid down the hill behind cover where I could revive him safely. It would have been a perfect medic moment if it weren't for fact that I have to use the injector on the place where he died and not on the body itself...he died on TOP of the hill....so I had to go up there...in the open...to inject the nanites in the ground to revive him. I might as well have strafed side to side like a duck target in a midway game, would have made that failure more comical and less frustrating. |

Oh and just in case I'm not the only one. Sometimes when you use the injector, It doesn't really Inject. Just hold the button down until you see the 60 points gain, It may have to go through the injection animation twice though. |

I've been running with an injector the past few days and my experiences are exactly the same mate.
You have to inject where the guy died and not where the physics made his corpse roll to.
It makes reviving people a real hassle and isn't intuitive at all. Hopefully we'll see a fix for this next build. |

Bumping as this is silly and needs to be addressed. It seems it is still here in the new build unless I'm mistaken. Anyone still having problems? |

my last battle a missile turret got me and blew my corpse half way across the battlefield, lucky me I thought as I landed right near my teams main spawning point where there were lots of people with healing capabilities... no such luck it seems, no-one was able to heal me without travelling to where I died.. half a map away from where I lay :( |

This bug was present in the previous build. Some one falls down yet the location where they were killed is where you need to go to revive them even though there body slid and fell some place else. I guess they havent resolved it yet.
Theres also something weird going on on top of this. When some one gets killed out of my vision and I see them paging for help Ill head to where there page for help is. Then suddenly there body will just sort of fall over from out of no where as if they just got killed a second ago. I know that cant be the case because if they were the only dead person over there paging for assistance they couldn't be doing it before they fell over.
So death animations are starting to trigger only after some ones body actually come into your view. |

Yup. I learned this yesterday too. I was injecting my squad leader and had to stick my injector twice into him before he got up again. |

I can't comment on whether it's a bug or not but it certainly needs fixed. Not only is it a pain (and totally counter intuitive) to inject the earth on place of death but it also causes some players to respawn thinking they've been passed over when in fact the Logi has to run past them to be able to revive them. It's a confusing system all the way around and cries out for improvement.
EDIT:

Yes getting this problem as well.
Also the (and this likely is a feedback type issue) problem where an injector which heals 80% gives the same WP as a milita injector thus making it more effective for the Logi to use all milita gear to maximize WP gains (but doing so reduces his actual value to the team). Use of higher Meta gear which requires more ISK to buy and more SP to use should be rewarded more than (or at least equal to) the use of base Logi gear (note, while the actual point awards are currently of equal value the Logi earns less with high end Nanos because the newly revived teammate has less damage to repair via tool thus earning the overall WP gain. Simple fix give the player who revived WP credit for the amount repaired by the Nano Injector above and beyond the value of the base milita gear). |

Thanks for the tip. Currently I'm running around with militia injector and militia repair tool and well frankly this information really makes me think twice if I really want to spend SPs to get access to higher level tools. |

Injector stuff doesnt work real well, I especially hate when you get there at the last second and they die even though you injected them!!!!!!!!! |

concur. the nanites should be injected into the body, not into the location where the merc died. It really becomes annoyng on hilly maps, where the corpse falls 20 feet or more from the site of death. The HUD map is vague at best at identifying where you need to revive someone. It would be nice if you could then run to the corpse and revive it instead of then wandering around with a "SNIPE ME TOO" title flashing above your head. |

Time for another bump.
Are you G-mod head flailing angry at the nanite injection mechanics? Preferably the issue where you inject the in location and not the merc? Then by all means please, share your stories of failed medic moments and how the current mechanics aren't working for you.
I saw one guy get caped and fall off a platform. The would be medic ran to help but just stood there with those life saving critters in hand, trying to figure out why he can't revive his fallen comrade. If had only looked up to see where he died. Of course, he shouldn't have needed to. |

Of course, he shouldn't have needed to. I run my assault a bit with the nano injector this build and I've found that the on screen indicator is pointing away from the body but if you stand over the body you get the prompt to press R1. Every revive I'd had in the last two weeks has been like this. Just use the arrow to get close, then ignore it and aim at the body. |
