I have not been able to call-in a dropship yet (are militia dropships gone now?), but after multiple trial runs in the LAV I have some reservations on the revised vehicle physics. The LAV seems to have grossly exaggerated movements now, causing fishtailing and oversteering. With practice I have learned to compensate a little, but the overall model feels loose, like I'm just wiggling the vehicle back and forth to keep control. So far at least, it feels uncomfortable and it is easy to get flung over a hill or ridge and spun sideways into a structure or equipment. I have no problem with the additional damage when you contact structures. It seems like the previous physics model was overly sluggish and the current model overcompensates. Anyone in a dropship have feedback on the changes? I skilled up heavily in dropships before the reset and would like feedback on if the new model makes that worthwhile again. Thanks |

LAV does feel loose.
One thing that seems grossly overdone is the camera shake when you drive your LAV into an obstacle.
It may just be something that improves the better your fitting, but seems like the dropsuit optics, cameras, etc would have some way to compensate, in a technologically advanced world. Right now feels kind of cartoonish.
There were a few threads on the new drop-ship physics (before they took them all away) that might interest anyone that missed those discussions.
I found flying enough of an interesting challenge to maybe invest some points into. |

Agreed that the new "camera shake" is grossly exaggerated. Cartoonish is a good way to describe it, as it almost pulls me out of the action when it happens as it feels and looks a little silly. May be worth keeping, but it needs to be toned down.

Definitely agree, the LAV is all over the shop now. The camera shake is ridiculous. |
