allright ive just was in a match where tons of people had nanite injectors to revive people thats fine and good. But now i tell you how to prevent the enemy to revive their mates. basically this is a tactic taken over from MAG and i know that it works on this game aswell. Its the forced bleed out aka suicide. As long the enemy is still on the ground and doesnt vaporised himself by suiciding you can basically give him the rest. Just shot/knife him to give him no more chance of a comeback, you know that youve done it right when you hear him dieing (uuuaaagghhhh.....).First off you deny the enemy medic a revive and some points and you force the poor guy to spawn again with new gear that costs him ISK. Bee a good cloned merc and finish your enemys allways off. I still remember my time on PRO at MAg where we swarmed objectives like the russians stalingrad. 1 guy with a gun and the guy behind him with ammo the difference was we had medkits instead of ammo. |

Less #2: Do not revive an ally right infront of an enemy during combat. You only run the risk of ticking your ally off, and could be TKed for your actions. Choose wisely. Do not be a point *****. Nuff' said. |

Most of us civil MAG players will help to shape this game, but you have a number of extremes helping to shape the game. What I can tell you is that we need blue pixie dust!

MAG next step was Dust 514. Just because of the team base gameplay. MAG in a game match that finish it under 3 minutes. Players will just go for the objective and finish the game. The majority doesn't care about the kills. That's how MAG is. |

In MAG, if you don't have a med kit. They will TK you or VTK. Simple as that. If you're a sniper on attacking, you'll get TK. If you're a Squad leader, and you don't do what you're suppose to do, well....you know how it goes. I have never seen any thing like it on other FPS. |

correction to your sniper bit.
i snipe on mag primarily as a counter sniper, but also to help eliminate enemy troops who have pinned down teammates, and to use the variable scope to give detailed info on enemy numbers and direction of approach, and i still have a medkit on so i can rez my teammates as need be. |

Love the crazy hate on MAG. People like it. It had a good concept. There are indeed lessons to be learned from it.
Just because your really butthurt about something doesn't justify meaning that all references to MAG must be shunned and destroyed.
Was MAG the best game ever? No. Did it make mistakes? Yeah. Does that mean we can't learn from it and apply those lessons to DUST...?
I will let you answer that one. |

Those were the early days of MAG. The TK for snipers were mostly in Domination. |

I understand your plight, but nonetheless you will have to put up with those extremes. I have to endure the troll, or "pro" egocentric tween on here myself. Those things happen though. I do understand your views though. I am sorry that you lost interest in MAG as you did. I myself enjoyed the game for near three hundred hours of in-battle gameplay. Before I could not take the community or worsening moral of players complaining about imaginary bias towards SVER and them somehow being OP (Over Powered). Which drove me batty to say the least. Calling it a "glorified" Call of Duty title though while is your opinion I find to be a gross one. By that very broaden definition then even every FPS title is hence a Call of Duty title wanna be clone -- and infact would be akin to calling Dust514 a Halo clone. Neither of which it is. Comparing things whether they be gross missrepresentations or not is how people make connections whether broad or not. They have a term for that -- Mind Matrixing -- in which the mind and persons in question is tricked into believing it something other then what it is. Happens a lot with food more often then not, but is not subject to just food either. People see faces in food, clothing, explosions, and/or other objects. People have also been known to see, hear, feel, or taste something else which is not there or in which it is not either. As for the [beta] testing though it is always grueling when done properly. Unfortunetly people leaving does not bother me in the least. Griefers and complainers are at best an irritation, or a minor abrasion upon the skin. We all hate such annoyances, but again it happens. That is part of life whether here in a base of anonymity or upon the real world.
What most people do not understand is that most people understand these differences. We all have credentials and experience some more then others. People on both sides of the fence need to stop the rude behavior. It's not just one side unfortunetly, and it's not any specific group. Both are fueled though by the irritants whom feel the need to vex all. They call those people "trolls".
Hope this all helps. Sorry for the long, and overly drawn response. I was hoping to be more thorough, but I am getting the itch to get off the computer, and play something instead of wasting away upon the forums. Still my best and most simple answer to you whether grossly simple or not -- Life is a |3!tc|-| and $h!+ happens. It's annoying, but that is essentially modern life. That or you could simply say it's fickle. Which ever you prefer. Ha-ha-ha. |

This is directed at no one in particular....
MAG was a very good game, it used an earlier version of the Unreal Engine, you could levitate......already tried that trick in here on dust....only happened once so far when I went after an LAV. And more frequently in the previous build of dust if you went near an object you can be thrown up in the air.
So far I have not been able to glitch inside a building, again when I was forced to deal with that type of low caliber player who would exploit something like that to just farm kills and never help their team advance, in mag; so far I haven't seen this yet, but I am wise enough to keep my eyes open to the possibility and noticing if someone is trying to do it in dust.
Sniper Squad, Platoon or OIC leaders were a waste, why because the SQUAD members got a set of bonuses for working with, near them; someone as a sniper mostly choose to sit back, in almost the spawn or some out the way place no where near the frontline, VTK!. The reason why so many snipers were team killed in MAG was because they would FLOP down on stairs effectively cutting off any chance of fast flanking manuever because everyone was stuck in a Chicken Dance type of line to get over the sniper.
A balancing Patch, infamously known as Patch 1.03 took about 4000 players and started the decline.
No new maps, continued it. (and contributed to the griefing by some, of getting into places they had no business being in.)
Sony's /Zipper's demand/command to not give full clan support, furthered the player exudos; actually as close to promised it would be in the game by both the developer and sony and we were left with a very weak clan deploy system.
Screwballs messing with their internet connection to gain the system took a few more.
And FINALLY the majority of the rest of the players left, got the message, when sony and zipper failed to fix the major freezing issue in a timely manner.
Then they started taking servers offline to save money and retask them for other projects, playing vs some blinking player using 1G cellphone to game from the middle of nowhere repeatedly because there was no one else playing gave rise to the last exodus to complaints of major lag.
I bring a bit to the table when I beta and to be honest somebody that has had no experience with the last 5 years of PS3 gaming can't really do more than beg for likes, or spout nonsense about a server being taken offline so much that it drowns out valid posts and the relevant discussions they contain. |

Actually is you are squad leader you will be vote kicked regardless of wither you are actually doing anything productive or not. Not even rage kickers, just roughage trying to become party leader for either xp bonus by FRAGOing their own positions or trying to get leader xp to get OIC unlocked.. Oh ye and farm kills by puttin a mortar barrage onthe enemy's spawn area. -_- |

And yet the pure shooting game of mag was pleasurable to the senses. It wasn't a grind to come home after work and just laugh and shoot until the girlfriend calls you away.
Mag was a great feeling shooter!
