To all the scouts out there: what are the advantages of a scout suit? I haven't really found any in my short time playing as a scoult.
You can sprint faster than an assault, but it's prettys similar, isn't it? (like a difference of 0.7 m/s) So it's not that much faster, but then you lose out on all the armor and shields the assault would have, plus you have less CPU and PG. So, is the only advantage of a scout suit mobility?
It seems like the scout suit is a liability in almost every category, but doesn't make up for it in speed.

Ha, yeah, I'm aware of that. But the strafe speed has been nerfed. Everyone was complaining that the scout was OP in the previous builds, but it was just bad hit detection, as most of us knew. So now, strafing is nerfed, so that doesn't really make the scout stand out. And then the assault is only 10% slower than the scout, so that doesn't make the scout special either. And like I said, with way less PG and CPU, I can't figure out what the role of the scout should be.... |

I feel the exact same way. I've tried a lot of combos, and last build the scout was a lot of fun. I played a lot of assault sniper, and that was fun too. But now it's almost pointless using the scout suit. You can't run that much faster, I have my sig prof stuff specced and people see me across the map anyway, and an AR is a better sniper rifle than my sniper rifle. Playing a scout is now a money sink hole. |
