Log out works, but it kind of takes you halfway around the "quit game" route.
Press the PS button, go to the far right option, highlight "account options" or something of that sort and press +ö.
It will show you the option to log-out. which will kick you back to the login screen. |

You can unplug your Ethernet cable if its plugged in directly as well. |
