Hi all,
Shortly after opening the server tonight we discovered a database level issue which requires a quick downtime to fix.
We are rebooting the server now and it should be back online on or shortly after 2200 GMT.

Im guessing the database issue had to do with double merc packs like my account had. I was gonna save one copy of the gear for an alt if I wanted and shanghai both 30 day boosters |

In EVE we have items like "Large Crate of Spirits" and "Exotic Dancers, Female" and a male variety if that is your preference. |

I remember after the update that gave us the 1st battle cruisers nothing worked and it was down for a few days till it was 'working' again in the loosest use of the word |

It sure does.
Thankfully I avoided the boot.ini issue due to being at work all day (work did something good?). I like the more recent "database issues that turned into 3 days of the server being down so they gave everyone a chunk of free SP". I don't even remember which patch that was, because it wasn't a big surprise. |

Im pretty confident CCP doesnt want me to have 2800 aurum worth of sp gain for free (or almost a whole merc pack) and I could of used it on an alt which is where the copy of gear is going if I get to keep it, thats why I used such a colorful word. |

I kinda enjoy the instabattle actually. I like not know what I am going to get and really this is the only way to get players to try the different game types since Skirmish seems to be the one stop shop for most players.

Are the servers dying again? I just got booted out of battle and have perpetual loading screen on finder. Also not being able to choose between battle types is silly. Some of us like objectives >< I know we're testing the game but it is for free so they have to cater to our taste somewhat if they want feedback. People aren't going to do something they don't like simply to provide feedback for free. |
