I'm probably gonna go Assault, because it's pretty versatile. But maybe Logistics seeing as the repair/medic stuff works (mostly) now. |

I'm thinking about logistics too, but it also depends on the starting SP and ISK... Some skillbooks might be unaccessible at the beginning due to the lack of cash. |

No idea. I'll have to wait and get my basic skills up first (armor, shields, Weaponry, etc) before I even think about specializing in anything. Last build I was a pure AV. Maybe this time I'll try out vehicles myself. |

first thing is first, I am buying the aurum suit bpos. The dragonfly I got from merc pack is a fine, cheap alternative to the militia scout suit out of the gate, and the logi and assaults will be good additions as well. That should be a good all around base for suits, after that... I'm thinking medic skills first.
Or, perhaps, go straight turret monkey once I get my suits and get that large missile turret, it's hella sexy, wanna see how it drives personally. |

I WANT MAH COMMAND SUIT!!!
Lord Super Kami Guru, has spoken! No, seriously. I want my command suit though. Otherwise I will just suit up with either my special operations scout suit and wreck people with my scatter gun. The assault is always calling me though as it is more versatile, and has higher CPU (Central processing Unit) and PG (Power Grid) output ratios then the scout, but I enjoy being a shadow, plus I have you know the Dragonfly [nSv] so yeah. |

I personally will most likely go into Assault, maybe Logistics but I will go into Heavy if they even him out a bit. In the last build the Heavy class was underpowered.
Also Command, once they implement it. |

goin all Logistics, then doin assault AV as backup role, im gonna put alot into shields too,
i was using the T2 assault suit with full shield management and 2 complex shield extenders and was pushin over 400 shield, with the shield recharge delay things equiped (i had a complex and an enhanced) it was cool as hell, and i was only doin it just to test the **** out... edit: its kinda lame that u cant self repiar with repair tools, i dont see y they did that, now almost nobody will use armor plates... i would go hardcore armor if i could repair myself |

Actually you can repair and heal yourself with repair tools. It just will not show the Ghostbuster proton pack beam affect on yourself. That is all. Even in the last build with the infamous black beam you could heal yourself. Hope this helps you out. |

I might consider trying out scout suits more this time around, hooning around with those speed mods sounds like great fun. But I think I'd feel like I was abusing the hit detection/latency, I can already dominate many people up close with my Assault suit + SMG, i'll feel bad if I was a scout. |

Pure stealth/assassin/infiltrator, which would entail Advanced or Proto Scout suit (Cladari in full game), knife handling level V so I get the complex knife upgrades in all low slots, plus the damage bonus the skill itself gives. Primary will be an advanced (Caldari in full game) assault rifle and secondary will be (Caldari in full game) proto handgun. High slots would be a complex stealth/cloak module, complex shield extender, and an enhanced/complex sidearm damage mod. Grenade will probably be some type of EMP and equipment will be a drop uplink or active scanner. I have a notebook full of all the skills I plan to get, so I'm ready. |

Now that the draw distance is useful I'll be sniping more like I wanted to. I will likely focus my SPs into newer features, so I'm betting Logi suit will see a lot of use. I also want to play with the new turrets.
I dunno, I think I'm just going to be training random **** until there are no more wipes ahead. When we get to a final build I'm going to be training fitting and armor/shield skills first.
Right now I don't see a point in specializing my characters for max success as it is a beta. I'm more focused on actually testing things. |

Same here.
It gives us a good idea of what to truly specialize in when the curtains come up for DUST.
I'm starting to toy with the idea of leveling into HAVs, I would imagine you'd have an easier time rolling in SP for infantry skills later on.
Downside would be to chill in your militia fittings until you saved up enough SP.

IMO a good idea is to get yourself into a nice suit/fitting that can consistently make you good SP, then start the long road to HAVs or whatever.
I haven't used heavies since the last patch, so I might be tempted to try the HMGs. Has anyone tried the other HMG variants (the burst and the long-range one) and are they any good? |
