I want you to know your bein killed by a girl when i stop to taco drop you fellows :) Haven't you been starting new threads every week about this? Guess I need to bring up some lore to shut this down as the previous gender threads were deleted. Processing..Quote:IGÇÖm a 200-pound albino infant. Cala was... is, a woman. Fiercely patriotic, she had jumped at the chance to be among the first of the RepublicGÇÖs new breed of soldier. Unlike the rest of us, she knew they would put her into a stock male body. They had explained it to her probably in the hopes that it would dissuade her from going through with it. She agreed to the procedure anyway, which, they must have figured, made her just the right kind of crazy for the job. I can see you working your " taco " in your personal quarters. But into a stock clone you go for the battlefield! This thread smells of GAMURRRRRR gUUrlZ!`1!! I have never posted a thread about this topic. Scroll back and read before you accuse me |

This is why girl gamers are a rarity. Can we not discuss the possibility of adding female avatars without "lol boobies"? Grow up. Something like 43-47% of the gaming population is women. I hear that most don't announce it because of all the harrasment they get from boys. It's this guys fault. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRkao-gyZC0 LOL OMG that was funny! Painful to listen to |

This is why girl gamers are a rarity. Can we not discuss the possibility of adding female avatars without "lol boobies"? Grow up. No, actually it has something to do with genetic dispositions related to the content of video games. Those with male genes tend to gravitate toward bodily motion, while those with female genes tend to gravitate toward emotional encounters. Tend to being the key words here, as this is a sliding scale with separate mean at said points. Most games nowadays are shooters. Not much for girls to get engaged with. "its just another gun game". etc etc... More than likely most games nowadays are targeting male audiences because most of the designers are male (and the tendancy to like to program/do math seems to be quantified as a male trait as well, hence the good female programmers tend to swerve toward the male side of the curve similar to many female gamers) -----------If you actually want girls to play games (from the female side of the curve, of course there are guys on that side too), then you need more creativity in your games... such as Minecraft has. Its incredibly simplistic, blocky, low-graphic, and slow, yet has a large attraction to the female demographic, mostly because it permits them to differ from the "male norm" of games. AKA: They can build a house, invite friends to a community, make a "family", start a "farm" yadda yadda,.. or even at times go on a light adventure. -----then off to the topic of the skimpy clothing. While it is true that many women playing games may feel threatened or insulted by video game characters being exaggerated, there are also those who feel deficient who actually play with the characters as a kind of consolation, as well as those who play with the characters, just so they can play with the minds of guys they meet. .... the variations are quite diverse...so I'll just end that bit here. Anyway, I don't think many female gamers would even be looking toward a shooter like this unless they already liked shooters, and more than likely they're expecting the game's designs to have some kind of exaggeration to them. so if the game is one they want to play, its highly unlikely that the designs will scare them off. Other than that, if the female avatar annoys them, they can always draw a guy. That is such bull sh!t and really sexist (as usual) There are tons of females that LOVE FPS .. I wasnt aking for a thong.. just simply a female character. |

From a game design perspective, you want your players to be able to see themselves in the game... in the role they are choosing to play. EVE seems to understand this as they have a very deep character designer set up on EVE Online... right down to scars and tattoos and changing bone structure.. and all this for just a screen cap that other people see. ... yet it helps the player identify with the character they are creating and playing.
As for Lisa Michelle... "Taco Drop" away...;) Although with your usual K/D you'd be spending far too much time playing face jocky... remember.. you don't wanna fight... you just wanna kill *laughs*
Anyway, I'm all for female skins/models... as long as they have the same hitbox as the males Whats wrong with my K/D ? have you seen it? Its 2.19 and it would be higher if i hid in vehicles every game like most of you. Was in the top 50 on the leaderboards also.. My my how you boys love to talk sh!t |
