CCP said that the second phase of the update would start at 20:00 GMT and would take 24 hours to complete, so what time is that EST? I know I should use a time zone converter, but I'm really bad with time zones  If you know the time please respond to the thread! Can't wait to start playing! |

GMT is the time at the prime meridian - basically it's the time zone in London. GMT is also know as UTC. Eve/Dust time will all be GMT to give a standard to all people in game.
Also you can go here:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html
Easiest way is to see what your GMT +/- is. For example, Central time in the US is GMT -6. This means that 20:00 GMT equals 20 hours minus 6, which is 14 hours. 14 hours is 2pm. Got it? |

Short answer is 4PM Eastern.
Also, if you happen to have a smart phone download a the UTC widget or app and you'll always know what time it is. |

What the **** is a one hour difference? Seriously, is it THAT big of a deal to miss out on DUST for one extra hour than you expected? The game's in beta - there's no entitlement here. |

I figured it out, I think. We are both right kinda. Zulu/GMT doesn't change, but the locations within do.
For instance, Zulu time 20:00 is 21:00 in the UK and 16:00 in Eastern time zone.
Does that sound right? |

That would be 8pm GMT
I don't know time zones, I'm in Ohio so 8pm GMT will be 3pm for me, so 3 hours to go. I'm from the uk anyway....but live in u.s so I know the time difference |

Yes this is true...when the east time zone is @ standard...but it's August right now so it's currently EDT...so the poster was right..atm 20:00 GMT is 4 pm eastern. |

It's 4pm for us
20:00 GMT is 16:00 EDT
it would be 15:00 for us (I'm in Ohio too - cleveland) if it was EST, but that isn't till fall (remember - "Fall back" an hour - I program TZ stuff all the time - it is 4pm for us.  |
