I'm 41 and very glad that there are many here of our classic/experienced range. I'm betting its mainly the older players that are responding to this thread and skewing the apparent average though. I'm continually thankful that the gaming dev world is able to still attract and keep our attention. |

First machine I gamed on we built(as in soldered the components into the main board, biased transistors, wound coils, picked matched high tolerance resistors, wired keypad and displays) first, programmed tic-tac-toe into second - in machine language, and THEN played the machine - on the hexadecimal output display. Then we moved on to punchcards - transported to the only local university to run on their machine, then transported back a week later - that's when debugging was a ***** =P

Yeah... I remember when you could go to the store with 50-ó and get a couple Reese Cups, a Milky Way, and a soda pop. You can't do that anymore.
