I just thought that everyone should realize that the new drop-ship physics model will be much easier to fly if they switch the yaw and roll axis, Then it would be the exact same as flying helicopters in battlefield 3. (just knowing this should help some drop-ship pilots) Also some way to view around the battlefield from first person in a drop-ship would make creating a defensive perimeter much easier. Also an awesome idea would be to have buildings that can be accessed from the roof and you can drop off a squad of infantry to secure the position...this would also help prevent the camping of entire teams in secluded spaces because of repair guys and logistics. I am hoping this just has not been a priority but they can make the MCC's more important than a giant target, the xl turrets were a nice touch but i was thinking more along the lines of better animation or better visual representation. that and something cool like having an mcc that traverses planet districts and when your district is safe, create a way to seamlessly transition to the next area with minimal load times. Also I hope they have an awesome mini-city map with identifiable important buildings that need to be controlled, and not just missle installations. It could be a communications array that allows for backup forces to be called in along with orbital strikes. Giant hangars that have tanks already in them courtesy of eve players. And multiple MCC's on a team for more action (fighting while the flaming wreckage falls onto the battlefield should give anyone a nerdgasm. Either that or much bigger teams cause the maps are huge. Lastly I can't be the only person to see the problem with a weapon that fires straight up as able to destroy EVE ships. Is that not making any sense to anyone else? (refering to the e3 beta video)They gotta start thinking something like the orbital cannon on Hoth that allows the transports to get away. and it has to be rendered in game or else it will just look stupid. |

Sorry dude, didn't read it, not gonna try. You have an Enter key for a reason, and it really helps to relieve headaches. I swear, that much text in one spot, it almost looks like its glowing. |

Not sure what you meant by 1st person dropship view, but there was one in the 1/3 percursor, you could go into a 1st person view while in a dropship.
When I saw MCC I remembered a while back playing BF 2142 where your giant "MCC" or w/e it was called, had an interior and you could spawn in there and enemies would land on top of it and could take it from the inside / destroy it. |
