From what I know about eve lore I think its supposed to be plasma. Its not that bad? Would it be better if it was a different colour, or would you rather it not be there at all?

Personally, I don't mind it, it gives battlefield a nice sic-fi battle feeling. I guess it a matter of taste.

I think CCP should remove the laser 'vomit discharge' effect on weapons and actually use plain old hit markers (like in Killzone games for e.g.). Thoughts, comments, anger, outrage, sadness? ;p

I guess it a matter of taste. When you fire repeatedly it makes it harder to aim and is distracting.
