An interesting piece....
"Game designer Don Daglow turned a few heads while participating in a GDC Europe panel this week. The industry veteran and co-designer of AOL's 1991 Neverwinter Nights MMORPG said that Americans don't deal well with failure, particularly in gaming.
"The idea of failure has been dramatically reduced," Daglow said, before going on to opine that this stems from an educational system where failure has been removed from the curriculum. He also said that many gamers blame their failures on the game itself instead of analyzing their mistakes and trying again."

Honestly, this doesn't surprise me. This generation is know as the "trophy generation" due to the fact that no matter who wins and who loses, everyone gets a trophy. |

I'm using the move, you tell me if it is the fault lies with me or the game? How can I analyze why the game decided I could no longer hit the smuck 5 meters in front of me and decided to spin my character around like a top, only from me pressing the trigger on the sharpshooter?
Did he give the whole world the same internet connection, and who is the new zillionaire that designed the faster than light internet to allow everyone across the world to have pings in the high single digits?
Did he also solve the problem of people using broadband cell to game on a console or pc, how about that poor snook stuck out in the boondocks who has to use satellite?
But then again I come from a time when penguins beat you with yard sticks when you got something wrong. |

QQ has grown to mean a lot of things, but it started as the way for pc gamers to leave a game, a la rage quit, it stands for Quick Quit. |

meh i've been losing games all day... if it ever gets to me i'll just load skyrim or mass effect and happily pwn my machismo back into shape ;)
the overall game seems fine(ish). just seems like little nigglely problems and a few system design fubars. |

Lolz I have no problem knowing that so many are better than me at this game and that if I'm honest my aim sucks and I try to do some really dumb stuff that my skill aint up too but hell its fun (and funny) just going for it. Hang the KD ratio out to dry and have some fun.
Also all Yanks are terrible at FPS give up now even your mum is ashamed of your poor gaming skills.
