I have played one game so far in this new build, and I'm not liking what I'm seeing so far.
I won't go as far as to say it is game breaking, because I haven't played enough to know, but this is some seriously messed up ****. My biggest problem is the fact that I died 4 times in the last match with my Logistics Type-1 suit, and what normally would have cost me about 120,000 ISK was 720,000 ISK!!, but my end-reward was still the same 200,000 ISK.
This seems like a major fail on CCP's part. If I can't keep my funds up using a type-1 suit, then how are people supposed to do anything with a proto?
EDIT: So now I've played my second match, and it just keeps getting worse and worse. Every problem that I heard people complaining about in the last game that I never experienced I am now experiencing in this build. 50% of the time that I spawned, I was right next to a group of enemies. I when running across the open areas, I kept getting stuck on the smooth, flat ground. Whenever I didn't spawn next to an enemy, I was under instant sniper fire. Having never experienced it before, I now know what the bad hit detection feels like.
Frankly, this is the worst change I've seen CCP make to this game, I only hope that these problems are just because I'm new to the build and haven't gotten used to it yet.
EDIT: Third game, played skirmish for the first time on this new build. The idea of everything starting neutral is a good idea, but the 10% hacking bonus is useless to Logi's at the beginning, due to their sh*tty speed. Didn't get stuck on any flat areas this time, but hit detection is getting worse and worse. Called in a dropship and instantly realized I won't be using those anymore, the new physics model was obviously designed to keep noobs out the the dropship business, and I intend to. Pre-game, I created a completely new class just to make sure there wasn't any adv or proto gear in the loadout, but still got a ****** return on ISK. Overall, I'm liking this new build less and less, and am becoming more certain this game is a waste of space on my PS3's hard-drive. Will continue to play until sure. |
