have you ever wanted to make your own Dust514 gun and show it if not sell it ti the universe? well why not?! how about players can my militia, standerd, advanced or prototype gun bodys and add objects to them like light damege modifer, or CPU and other weapon mods added, but this actully is the gun itself. by adding the objects to increase you gun, you are making the standerd gun without the owners suit modifacation. so when the gun is bought it has its statistics and can be used just like any CCP gun. the 1st step is making the CPU and PG stats for the gun, more CPU mods you add the less CPU it costs on the suit but at a cost, each gun body can only add a certain ammount of stats to the mods, so you can have a CPU freindly gun, that uses next to nothing CPU, but the gun can suck at other charictoristics.
mods inclued the commen mods you add to your suit, light weight weapon range,damage,clip size, energy cost etc but you must have the tech to buy theese items. after creating the gun you can use it you self or mass productionj it (max 100 like any other gun) and sell it global to the market. |

People would make their gun waaayyy too overpowered. I'll just have my shotgun have a RoF at around 1000 and a clip size of 90 with a accuracy fall off of 50 meters. I win. |

no theres a limit per gun body (if you have a militia or standard its low, advanced better, prototype best) also you have to by the attachments. |

Apparently there will be rare/unique gear that can be obtained and then sold on the market. I doubt CCP will ever let us actually design the guns, but they will probably be slowly and continuously seeding the ecosystem with cool stuff. |

Nah, you can equip gun mods to your suit if you want them, this would just making doubling up on mods possible. The whole point is that you have to choose what you want - gun mods? or suit mods? If you could equip mods directly to the gun, you could have both, and that shouldn't happen. |

You could mod guns on borderlands. The results were ... Impressive. I never got involved, but my bud had a grenades launcher (cyan shotgun. Rather rare in the first place) firin 50 nades which all turne into 50 nades. My "pigeon of death" was still better in PvP.
I'm happy without 50x50 mass drivers. |

if they added Camo/skins to guns that would be cool to customize. you know just like PlanetSide 2 is doing |

The proto guns you make will have an equal statistic as the CCP proto guns but if the CCP but let us say the CCP mass drivers have a high damage but low clip size and you wanted the opposite or somewhere in between you can make it. The result is even but has disadvantages as well as advantages. |

I used to make weapons on the original unreal engine. I made this gun shoot an arrow and after a certain amount of time it'd go off and kill the target.. I'd shoot a person with it, then chase after them to see if I can kill them with another weapon first. |

maybe you should read mroe clearly? YOU MAKE THE SAME STATISTICS AS CCP WITH THE GUNS THAT ARE IN USE, BUT YOU CAN HAVE IT WEAKER THEN THEIRS BUT STRONGER IN RANGE, it has nothing to do with the suit adjustmints. |

how can some of these people/replies do not understand that CCP is working on letting the Player do CUSTOMIZATION of the Guns, etc
its basically going to be the same as TC: Ghost Recon Future Solider (or whatever the last TC:GR was released about 1-2 months ago). |

Something like rigs in EvE could work. So many slots, each rig uses up calibration. All rigs have bonus and drawback, and staking penalty. Each rig type has skill that lowers(but never removes completely) the penalty, and unlocks better rigs. Rigs could easily make a militia ar cost more then a proto ar, so people won't max them out much. little things like changing the sight would get most use. No attached grenade launchers or anything like that.
maybe 1 rig used in fit per lv of rigging 10% penalty reduced 2% lv of relevant skill rigs can not be removed once attached max 3 rigs on standard weapon and suits max 2 rigs on adv weapons and suits max 1 rig on proto weapon and suits max 3 on militia and tier 1 vehicles max 2 on higher tier vehicles
so a standard assault suit with standard swarm and smg would have 9 places to put rigs, but limited to total of 5 with max skills. A proto-assualt with proto-swarm and proto-ar could only fit 3, even with fitting 5.

They had an interview a while back where someone from CCP stated you were able to make your own gun from parts found on the battlefield or bought.
The fact that non-eve players know about this and eve players do not is actually the ironic part |

I posted a request thread a while back that died out.
but it was about fitting modules on the gun and then having modules for the full suit.
this would probably be a pain in the arse for many of the Dev's but would be nice little feature. |
