Just to paint the picture of my profound disappointment in DUST514. I get the BETA key in mail.. one or two mails later Archduke sorts me out so it's valid. Download starts where I'm from (South Africa) I have to make use of a wireless technology to get the download of 2GB (more or less) done.
Click remote check download status 2%,
Click remote check download status 3%,
Click remote check download status 5%,
I went through this for, like, a whole day-and-a-half... until it was complete. Get online, then I had to do lunch with the In-laws for like, 2 hours, knowing I could be playing instead. Anyway rush home in my own car wifey came home with them much later  . & I go though the setup thinking FACK! this AWESOME, look and feel eggzachary like EVE... Woot! then pew pew pew for a few hours. Bedtime arrives so I go sleepy sleepy sleeps with my trigger finger twitching 
Monday comes I rush to work early so I can leave early to get home to play DUST.
I arrive home..Switch on, PS3 log on & get.... Please understand that this where my profound disappointment arrives all dressed up like the Grim Reaper...
The servers are only active from Thursdays to Mondays   |

Lol, yeah we all wish we could play 24/7 but we wouldn't get any development if we did and there'd never be any no new toys to play with. Also they want people playing together at the same time rather than spread throughout the week so they get a better idea how things work with higher loads on servers.

Sorry man, but just think, next time we can play the game should have a new patch which will download new toys and skills to play with. (hoping it patches before next Tues) |

 @ Grit breather. Ok so just saw the response and turned everything on....2.2 GB *luckily its doing it's bit while I'm @ work... so Hopefully Thursday it's done....
Next time me thinks it's time to make use of my work privilidges... 8MB WiMAX line for testing that will kill these puppies chop-chop.. Wooot! |
