I have tested a bunch of weapon and equipment combinations to see which i enjoy most and whether or not they have any flaws or overpowered characteristics. I shall break my points into parts.
PART 1: The shotgun has always been my all time favorite weapon, do to its sound, look and effectiveness. However a current bug makes it difficult to use. A simple bug that causes no damage to be done to the enemy after the first shot has been fired, at very close range. Originally damage is done, but even after several shots the gun may or may not do damage. A second thing i should mention is that the gun does a tremendous amount of damage close range, which makes it nearly impossible for logistics, scout, assault and sometimes heavy classes to compete with; especially when you have a bunny as an opponent (bunny has the shotgun). As an advent dust 514 shotgun lover i do hope these issues can be addressed as to make the game fair.
PART 2: The assault rifles is said to be balanced, which i find is absurd. Personal experience and death experience have allowed me to conclude that the rifles are most certainly very powerful, and have most people using them since all you have to do is shoot 4-10 rounds and your opponent is dead. At mid to long range it is nearly impossible to advance even with 4 men without losing 1-2 of them against someone with an advanced rifle or breach rifle (its also good not to have a team based of children). It is very often that i find myself moving along and a few moments later a get two rounds from some guy using a breach rifle and my shields are depleted along with 3/4 of armor; while wearing relic assault armor with level lV armor and shield upgrades.
PART 3: This should be short. I have noticed that the only real way to do any damage to infantry is to either have a very powerful weapon or aim for the head, because damage to the body is damn useless. Body damage hardly affects infantry unless you are up close with a shotgun, and still damage is minimal. I find this to be a very big issue to those at very long range, and especially to those using an SMG as a sidearm when they carry a swarm launcher with them as their light weapon. While testing the SMG swarm launcher combination, unless there were vehicles on the field it was very difficult for me to accumulate a proper KDR since the SMG had no chance of competing against many of the other weapons. = Note: that if points of damage are changed then sniper rifles will need reblalance for obvious purposes.
The points above are just a few issues that were most obvious to me, and I hope my explanations were insightful.
Thank you for reading my post. ALL opinions are welcome, and feedback is most greatly wanted. Note insults towards others will be ignored.
Have a wonderful day. |
