i think an amazing gametype would be an eve corp hires dust mercs to infiltrate an enemies shipyard and disrupt the production of ships which would delay the amount of time before they are fully made.
say EVE alliance A has decided to expand their sov into a neighboring system but the smartest choice for a foothold is held by EVE alliance B. A declares war and starts gearing up for an attack and shortly learns from a spy inside alliance B that theyre creating a titan to help defend their borders.
So A in an attempt to delay the titan and make the battle that much easier is able to contract dust mercs to sabotage the titans production or maybe even destroy it completely.
it would be epic if this could happen but not just for titans but any ship that was designated b the contracters. and if the target is a large enough ship maybe you could send in a boarding party of dust mercs to disable a crtical part of the ship like eliminating its ability to Jump effectively trapping it in the system to be destroyed. |

Slow it down, maybe, but destroying it would cause EVE players to throw a (completely understandable) shitfit. |

a titan cost billions of isk which translate to about 2400 US dollars using plex transaction rates. um so no destroying eve ships slowing it down diabling them temporarly yeah but not destroying them |

lol obviously you've never played EVE, or for that long. No offense, I'm not attacking you or anything. But ships can cost ALOT. its not like Dust right now where you can easily replace 3-4 tanks in a single battle. It takes alot more time and energy to get your ISK in EVE.
Titans, are the biggest ships, bigger than space stations. They are basically massive mobile military bases. Like someone says it costs nearly 2,400$ in PLEX's to make, which can translate into months of mining, etc. depending on the corp/alliance size, then defending the production themselves in space to ensure other EVE players do not attempt to do what your saying, and literally destroy its production. etc.
To have to rely on Dust players, who in all fairness, will probably be little COD err.. -kids- to put it way nicely, no offense again.. ahem... but having to rely on them to defend something so important is a little over board.
Delaying the production, etc. Or perhaps having some of the resources "stolen" so they have to mine or replace those minerals which were taken before it was fully produced before they can resume it, may be a cool thing. But anything past that and EVE players will have a major fit for many very legit reasons. |

Yes, that would be cool.
But there need to be EVE-Ways to prevent the Dusties from entering the shipyard. If the Dusties are in the shipyard the outcome of the battle remove productiontime from the production of the ship. If all time is remove the ship get scraped the the parts.
I don't know if BPO or BPC is used on the build but on BPC it should use up the run. |

I like this idea, but this will go under the "long term" section.
It will also depend heavily on how well the DUST/EVE community integrates into each other
Possible scenario: War barge piloted in EVE would have to be escorted to the POS. DUST merc get launched into POS for attack. (30 minute timer) Defenders can hire DUST mercs as defenders, they don't have to travel.
Battle ensures inside POS and outside. Defenders can destroy sitting duck Warbarge outside to cut off respawn for attacking infantry, defenders have limited respawns also.
Resulting outcome can cause disruption or even destruction of property in the POS |

im not suggesting to make it so that you can hire dust mercs to destroy the eve ship im saying that maybe they could be hired to sabotage the production line which would increase how long it takes to make it.
or sabotaging its warp drive so that the target ship is stuck within the system it was sabotaged in for x-amount of time. |

A suggestion i would have here is that this idea as much as i like it would be difficult to balence due to the potential loss involved to eve players until a balence could be accheived the basics could be implemented in a PVE sence all factions are currently at war or gearing up for it so it would be a possiblity to say that say the minitar republic may want to hire some of the better dust mercs to do sabotage on amarrian production lines which could range anywhere between a amarr rookie ship to a full blown titan in production,
Due to the obvious difficult in attacking a target such as this in the heart of a hostile military complex these could be a dust varient of like lvl4s,5s, or even incursions where large amounts of merc would need to work together to succed in taking down a ship of some sort, to recap these ships would not be intended for player use and would not be capseeler ships but rather military ones so no one actualy losses there precious titan, another varient of this could be a pirate raid on ship yards to steal the construction materials rather than destroy the ship but who cares about collateral damage as a pirateeh?? |
