I would like dust to have a incredible realisitc and fun combat system that rewards natraully quick or skillful players
In the thread I make mention of how cloaking can be accomplished where it is based off mass and movement; the more you move or the faster you move the less you are cloaked, and to some extent the bigger you are the less you are cloaked. Cloaking should not be limited to single suit it shoupd be a module. On one point a heavy standing pefectly still will be fully cloaked, but moving any will mess up that cloak, a scout on the other hand could move around slowly but if he goes max walking speed or sprinting his cloak is no longer working. https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=30035&find=unread
Combat movement I wpuld love some more way to get more merc going to have more on the fly option avalible so I can fill like a train mercenary I think this thread as a good number of ways this could be done and makes sense. The combat movment could be based of speed the suit is going and off how much mass the suit as to get going so a heavy wouldnt be able to do it very well but he wont be complete worthless. The red chevron are all about you being able to see the other guys Im suggesting it be more based off suits signature streagth vs your suits sensor streagth, suits with alot of low power modules would have small sigs there could even be modules that hide the sig better or improve your sensor its pretty well covered here https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=30088&find=unread
Portals would add a interesting futuristic element to game play. players would outfit speicle hugely cpu/pg consuming modules be able to portal to a diffrent location, I know black ops tanks could possible be doing this but the suit module could be only for one suit were as the tank one would allow a portal to stay open for 10 or 15 seconds and a instalation could create of permenant portal. https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=29841&find=unread

I dont think the scout is built around claoking its built.around speed the covert ops suit would be built around cloaking and with its bonus it could easly run around cloaked however I suggested that because a scout shouldnt be complete cloaked when you go into a run, it should be more used to sneak around rather than remain completely hiden when quickly crossing large distances.
It not just realism I want I want this stuff balanced into gameplay so I have more.options avalible on the fly and less combat stuff that A increase hp or B increases damage. |

i just like it cause it would add a interesting element to gameplay provided its properly balanced. as for lore wise it could be more sleeper technology |

But if ccp were to add only one thing I would like a well.developed and well balanced movement system and that would mean it would have to be brought in early. |

Dust could have a very unique system of combat and warfare but these ideas would have to be brought in early and balanced against early or else it would be more of a gimmick. However alot of people are looking at each indivdual idea but think about it this way how will all this stuff effect one another.
Sensor and signature: the more cool modules you fit on your suit the higher you.suit signature is on top of each suits natrual signature. And each suit could have it own sensor level and how it detects thing. For this it would be a real counter to cloaking and a good fair warning for portal users. It would also be a interesting e war stuff along with it.
The orginal idea about the chevrons would appear but I expanded it to include alk thing chevrony. Pretty much suits wont get a red chevron right off the bat, some will.stick out like a sore thumb others could be right next to you before you even get a chevron. making player think about all the stuff they want on their suit.
portals and cloaking: by having cloaking not limited to suit but by mass and movement it would allow players to fit it to any dropsuit and keep them from abusing it too much.
Portals for suits would be more like teleporting to a place a number a meters ahead of your location kinda like microwarps, it would be useful but would have limited use and a cool down time. Portal would also stick out with any sensor worth it name detecting it. Large temporary portals could be made by vehicles and connect two points a number of meters ahead of the vehicle for a limited amount of time and mass. And there could be permenant instalation portals.
Combat movement: would allow every player to move around the battlefield and make fights less about who shot first and more about location(cover either of you can use) reaction time of the players(even accesing the movements before stagger can throw them off) and aim (if I have to explain this, go to the doctor).
Ads vs hipfire: im think it would make this game to have both be useful methods of killing and not have one or the other dominate any majorty of the fights. It would also fit in with eve by making players train up skills that improve either one, but still neither would be good at the others bread and butter.
Placeable equipment: would allow logi to bring a new element to the game play sentry guns small mortors, magnetic laders all of whoch would have a high signature for sensor to lock on.
Grid with bombardment tie in would allow teams to coordinate them selfs and allow all players to call in strikes as need but also allow player to specilize in calling in bombardment and airstirkes.
Tacnet could become a major part of the game showing commanders the.flow of the battle and giving us merc easy reference in game and giving advantages were advantages are due in the form of extra tacnet info. This would tie in alot with the signature and sensor thing above.
plenty of vehicles I think no vehicle should be better than another at a certian role or should be and abaolute destoryer every vehcile should have place on the battlefield and add to the game not be a endgame mechanic to bolster the winning team.
plenty of AoE equipment and instaltion effecting everything above except aiming and movement stuff.
And dont forget how ewar would have a counter for everything on here.
