I know what most of u will say that a cover system will be bad for this game and i would completely agree with everysingle 1 of you unless it is done right.
1. The sytem is relatively easy to control but not self fix for instance if ur hiding by a wall and u move over to one side to far so that ur as is sticking out it lets ur as stick out if not bumping u out of covermode
2. Destructable objects is necissary fro a covermode asit would allow the other players, who cant sneek up behind, to blast there way through ur cover of coarse this has to be within reason of phisics a solder with an assult rifle shouldnt be able to get through the cover quickly if at all unless ur hiding behind a fruit though a forge gun could possible anniahilate 1ft of concreteand an railgun tank well we should probaly hope ur hiding behina a building.
I personaly think a good cover system would be a great way to bring a bit more debth to the game but only if done right. But ofcoarse my first opinion is to try and work this into the game after the graphics and material has been perfected |

1. A cover system that very very limited and doesnt make up a major part of the combat maybe. However perfecting this in a limited way would be difficult and cover system wouldnt work well for high health shooters.
2. Implementing a major mechanic change like cover after everytging else is added would breack the game or feel like a abnormal add on if they were going to do a cover aystem they would have to implment early in development so as to build everthing around the fps mechanics
It really has no place in a high health game. And people want a fast paced or medium pace game not a slow cover game |

A cover system like in killzone's single player would be cool, although so far there is pretty much nothing you could take cover behind like that. Also, it probably wouldnt slow the pace that much |

I would like to see the ability to lay down in addition to kneeling as well as a crawling movement style... I would think these two things might solve many of the goals and very useful to snipers/stealthier gamers. |

The only implementation of this that I think would work would be allowing the player to lean left and right while standing or crouched, so that you can lean out from behind a wall and engage targets, for instance. Any actual gameplay mechanic that adjusts the way your character is posed or moves in order to facilitate cover would be a negative addition. |

Fast moving high health allows not using cover, so if added it could be a valid choice to use or not. Also, it would help av builds, we use cover already, this would only help hunt tanks. O interact button could be used to stick to corner.
Low crawl would be nice, makes sense for snipers to lay down on perch. I also want to crawl under the trucks to ambush, sneak under the pipes where they are to close to ground to crouch under. |

Ehr, no, let me rephrase that: Hell NO!
Any mechanic which slows a game down, not least encourage camoping is a big NO NO.
This game seriously needs to keep its pace up, its slow enough as it is.
If you're idea of a great game is to have extra mechanics just to take cover, which you can do anyway, then I do pity you.
Fast paced action is the way to go, only idiots and noobs spend their games on their bellies in a corner, or in this case; on top of a building.
Man yourselves up people! Don't rely on having a huge tactical advantage to get your kills, it will not make you better. Move, move and move again. Use your minimap, anticipate enemy movements, pop up were you're not expected, you get my point.
And besides, if weapons were to shoot through cover, how then will you get away from tanks? |

I don't think your understanding the group of players your dealing with. most of us are eve players, and we understand that tactical advantage will win out over the all guts and glory guys every time. slower pace means nothing to most of us as we are willing to wait weeks and months to destroy people/groups of people in eve, and longer still for our skills to train being able to take cover or at least go prone when shooting a rifle is a common tactic in every modern army u don't just run and gun that is how u get yourself killed and when your fighting with only a few lives u need to kill your targets without getting killed in the process. "going prone allows u to have a smaller target picture making it harder to be hit by most everything that just common training for most military forces" |

There is alot more to run or gun than your giving credit to it, and while cover may seem more tactical its not realy compared to run and gun its slower and easier to get into but its not more tactical and it doesnt require more skill |
