So I was mashing through the load up screens not paying attention as I realized I wiped my main character.
37,000,000 SP gone, my top 50 on the leader boards all my gear etc.. so I tried the plea to support, got the expected sorry out a luck email. It came quick I'm sure someone was giggling as they responded. Not a big deal I guess cause we are getting wiped anyway.
But the real kicker is I claim my name back and log back in to see if anything is left, and to my great surprise my character is still in the last proto suit I was wearing so I'm all excited. But nooooo its just there to laugh at me for my stupidity because other than wearing it in the quarters its not there anymore.
The only thing I've learned from this is maybe we could make the erasing of a character a little harder maybe you have to type in the character name before deleting or something. |

I was thinking i would be to easy to do this buy mistake.
Something like type char name to confirm, or have it send char to a recycling bin and do delete at downtime. Then the mistake could be caught and fixed before actual delete happens. |

The same thing happened to me friend.
However the support is not recovered my account, I was top 11 leadearbord, and I lost everything.

Yes we will still being doing the proto battle. I Will just have to rely on my gun game instead of my suit.. although I do already have my level 2 stuff back for the most part |

two worlds2 had a great way of doing this, they had it to where when u pressed delete a timer would count down from 5 before u could hit accept |

Guess this is why EVE has the 12 hr (or 8 hr?) cool down period after you delete your character, to really delete your character. |

I don't remember what the wait period is in EVE, but yeah that would work - keeps the deletion from being accidental.
And the death scream you get when the countdown finishes and you get to biomass your character is just hilarious gravy. |
