NAME------------------DPS-----------Accuracy-------------Mode Creodron ---------- [ ~380 ] -------- [ 58.3 ] -------- [ FullAuto ] Duoville ------------ [ ~450 ] -------- [ 57.2 ] --------- [ FullAuto ] Alloteck ------------- [ ~520 ]--------- [ 59 ] ---------- [ 3Shot ] Duoville Tactical --[ ~690 ] -------- [ 57.1 ] --------- [ Single Shot ]
The issue here isn't the Creodron's damage, nerfed in the upcoming update, the issue comes with not buffing the non-Full-Auto guns enough to match. The Allotek is well balanced, and plenty accurate now, but experiences ridiculous muzzle jump. Even with the higher ROF, the Allotek needs to be able to maintain a better sight picture, similar to Creodron does now for a full clip. The Duoville tactical is in same boat, well balanced, but a tactical rifle should be the most accurate of the bunch.
Decrease Allotek muzzle jump and increase D.Tactical accuracy to 59-60, This will bring the guns back in line and see more usage from all. |

People that don't mod their controllers cannot achieve that high DPS for the Duoville Tactical. When using it and tapping as fast as you can, it's slightly higher than the breach but not nearly as fast as the advertised 789.5 RoF which is faster than the duvolle. The average speed for normal users is about equal to the creodron.
What if the tactical AR was changed to have more damage than the breach but have the RoF brought down to 500.0 and make it have higher accuracy. The magazine capacity should stay the same though.
**Edit** I tried using the tactical AR with the PS Move controller and its WAY faster. |

The really sad part is that with this nerf for the creo will probably have a lower DPS than the militia assault rifle.
30 damage x 750rpm / 60 = 375 DPS
This assumes no shot miss or fall victim to bad hit detection.
The creo only has a DPS of 380 using the same formula. Really a 5 point difference between the militia and the proto yeah totally OP.
It is an extremely effective weapon and everyone uses it but that does not make it over powered. If it did that would make the rifter OP in EvE when really its just cheap.and effective. Although the creo isn't really cheap, just highly effective especially given the hit detection issues.
Edit the numbers are theoretical and I have no info on how much they better the creo I am just guessing. |

instead of nerfing the creo they should have given the tactical the same automatic rof as the creo while keeping its semi automatic rof which would make its automatic fire dps less than the creo. this would put the tactical at the top and bottom of your list |

The breach rifles' problem was not that they had too much damage. The problem is that more hipfire accuracy is a massively powerful bonus. This is the reason people use them, not because they are so strong. It's the fact that they barely need to aim to score good kills. |

To be perfectly honest that is the main reason I use the breach rifle, not because I can't ADS I just usually end up way to close to be effective while ADS. The enemy just moves to fast at close ranges I can't keep up. I know I suck at FPS though.
In the previous build I had a setup with a tactical AR for use in the first part of map and I would switch to the breach for the closer ranges in the buildings. |

I agree, I haven't played an FPS regularly since 2002 playing Halo in high-school. The Low ROF- High bullet damage gave me some slack in my poor aiming. After buying an XBox style PS3 controller, and some practice to get my chops back, I have started using Allotek and Duoville tactical. My Matches have jumped from 24/12 & 14/5 to scores like 12/0 and 18/2... There are truly dominant ARs on the field. The Creodron is partly popular I'm sure because people don't know how to do DPS calcs, and because of the popularity skewing numbers, now all breaches- with the lowest DPS of all ARs- get a reactionary nerf.
This is why I'm actually quite happy all the Eve players have codes now- we have plenty of our own flame wars on balancing- but the core still work on hard math and facts- not some subjective 'Nerf the fad fit!' ranting. |

Any more support for balancing the high DPS rifles accuracy wise as opposed to nerfing the breach rifles into a deeper 4th place? Seems that the easily seen advantages of Low ROF high per/shot dmg will continue its popularity, but at the same cost as the burst and tactical, becomes truly unbalanced and sub-par option if we reduce the lowest DPS rifle class further. |
