Well, I have been testing this build since June and I've found that I do best in this awesome Heavy fit.
I figured that I would share it with you, since we are rapidly appraching the new build, so here it is.
I have named this fit "NAiLS"
Heavy vk.0 Dropsuit (1) Complex Armor Plates (1) Complex Armor Repairer (3) Complex Shield Extenders
ICD-9 Toxin Submachine Gun--great backup GB-9 Breach Assault Rifle----wanna run Creo, but the CPU/PG req are too high (the GB-9 does kick aZZ though) Sleek AV Grenades
This fit gives me:
328 HP Shield & 1400 HP Armor

Only if you have difficulty urinating, then you'll need the ole prostate exam. |

Heavy vk.0 Dropsuit:
- x2 Complex Armor Repairer - x2 Complex Shield Extender
- CreoDon Breach Assault Rifle - Merc Pack SMG - A-V Grenade
Armor plates are a big no-no for movement speed reduction and lower armor repair rate. |

I think CCP is aware of how useless people think armor plates are. I bet we see a buff in HP or a reduction in the speed hindrance |

I have to use speed mods in every build or I feel like I'm stuck in molasses. armor plates?... never. I got my logi to 7.4 m/s, that feels just about right. |

They'll be more useful once hit detection is fixed. Like just about everything... buffing the HP would be crazy. But we haven't seen anyone using dedicated team builds I.e no armour repairs because your team will fix you up. LoL teamwork. |

HP buff is fine, movement speed maybe. My concern lies in shield repair rate.
In a future patch it would be acceptable for all Dopsuits to have a default armor repair rate:
-Scout: 2.0-2.5 HP -Assault 2.5-2.9 HP -Heavy 2.9-3.4 HP
With this some might use armor plates more often... I'm still going for x2 Complex Armor Repairer. |

As it stands now, the armor plates would only allow me to take one more bullet from a creodron.
Doesn't seem like it's worth it. |

Heavy v.k0
highs: 3x complex heavy damage mods H: Ishukone Assault Forge Gun S: Boundless Breach SMG G: 2nd level antipersonnel grenade - can't remember the name off the top of my head lows: Complex CPU mod, Complex armor rep
tank go boomboom. Dropships... drop.
I do have a heavy assault build. It is the same concept, just complex light damage mods and a proto assault rifle in the appropriate slots. Pretty beastly, but has the agility of a one-legged sumo wrestler |

Agreed - dual tanking, while on paper looks good, makes you to ineffective. The extra HP you did is worth less than the extra damage you could deal. This means it takes longer to kill you if you run into a similar fit, but you will still be dead. By increasing the damage, you will do better.
You are welcome to keep it this way - as a veteran PvP Eve pilot, who is well versed in the way CCP designs fitting and and module/weapon syngery, please take my word for it. |
