I know i wont get everything I want, but I want it all with no dumbing down. I dont know why people see the console crowd as such idiots that need their hand held to cross the street.
I want null sec battles with almost no limitations. I would love to see it be possible for more than one group to get involved in any null sec battle and to see two groups fighting it out get attacked by a 3rd group that cause the first two to join together to repel the 3rd, or maybe that 3rd come in to assist either side.
I want to see griefing and sabotage and scams going both ways from DUST and EVE.
I want to see DUST make an impact that causes a bit of a stir and change in the current SOV map. I would love to see one of the alliances use it to their advantage and defend a territory against a force that thought they could beat them, and I want to see a force get help taking a larger entity because they got boots on the ground and got some bonuses to attacking the SOV of their enemy.
I want someone teabagging someone to cause a war!
I want the groups that make an impact in DUST to have reputations and stories told of them the way they are of the major SOV alliances in EVE. I want large groups to rise and fall.
Again, I want it to be complex and competitive and demanding. I think consoles players are not just capable of this, but I think there is a crowd out there demanding it.
Chances are if I have to dive into spread sheets and take massive amounts of notes likes a second job to play a video game...i wont.
Don't misunderstand, I enjoy the complexities of an MMO as I enjoyed Final Fantasy X and a few others while still being a predominantly FPS/TPS gamer. I enjoy the depth of the beta so far and look forward to some of the rumored additions but as far as getting to the depth of the mechanics of EVE, not sure I would be interested in that.
As for the complexity of corps and alliances and SOV space and grinding out in the sandbox, i am all for that (said in a tone skeptically as in the "careful what you wish for" saying).
