Grappling hooks or whatever for extremely steep inclines, ability to traverse steeper terrain on foot Could have some skills to be trained to do it and would help in the sniper/sniper hunting game and cut down on useless dropship calls just to get on a tower. |

lol spider-man dust version ( or batman!). id really like to see something like a grappling hook for the uses of climbing or nesting for snipers it would add the ability to go after those blasted roof campers without a drop ship that will most likely get shot down in worst cases before getting anywhere. there are so many ways you could play with a grappling hook i don't think id ever get bored if they added one. but if they just wanted to add climbing they could make magnet things or wall claws... more boring but would work for what you want. |

Actually a related tech to add battlefield tactics diversity would be to add controlled decent devices which could be deployed from certain altitudes/vehicle types which allow for shooting on decent as well as maneuverability during decent to pinpoint your landing.... thinking here is like paratroopers or glider troopers... |

Until CCP resolves the terrain mesh issue (example: being forced to stop sprinting after running over a pebble), training up skills to run up steeper inclines would be useless or might present a possible exploit that we may not have foreseen. |

If we do test it and it works as intended than that's great. If not, it'll be a good thing that it was implemented and tested in this BETA so that the problems will be fixed. Try to exploit every feature before the game releases helps CCP understand the problems and fix them. |

+1 for some form of climbing mechanic,
would be great to be able to get to sniper nests without a dropship either to remove sniper or to snipe. does anyone now of any games that have done grappling hooks/wall claws really well? |

Probably one of my more fun experiences on ps3 was infamous 2 which would be somewhat eve like in the sense of using an energy tether for the amarrian form of a grappling hook, and a more traditional wire attached to a launched hook that embeds itself into walls for a minny version as some ideas for inspiration.... |

If it helps with getting rid of tower campers, I support the idea! |

I would say Lost Planet and Lost Planet 2, although they are 3rd person games. |

Giving us a long-range anti-air weapon that can be used to shoot an oncoming fast jet, or a stationary, rested dropship would eliminate tower-camping dropships forever.
+1 to the ability to scale walls & buildings, that would be cool actually. I don't mind snipers nests as long as another sniper or cluster of missiles can take them out if people spot them.
Back to the long-range surface to air missiles, they don't hit slow moving vehicles in transversal very well because they're high speed and for long range, however they should be able to hit a stationary target, ie a camped dropship on the top of a tower. |
