Based on what they've been saying in response to similar questions, that is their plan, but the PS3 client will still be supported until Sony takes the PS3 out of commission, which probably won't happen for quite a while. But you won't have to upgrade if you don't want to, just like how EVE used to have a Classic and Premium client. |

Not entirely true as far as I know. Once the PS4 is out and once they have a PS4 client written and running they will only support the PS3 client for one year. |

Considering how Sony is planning to release real soon the new (true) slim PlayStation3 in atleast three different variations -- I am doubting we'll see the PlayStation4 soon. Sony really is funny with names I'll give you that. Naming it "Orbis" for cirle, and calling the new handheld "Vita" for life; meaning circle of life. Plus from I hear it has more to do with the Kanji for four being too close to "death" or something, and it's all taboo.. Ha-ha.
Anyway as for what, Mobius, point out -- he is spot on with his information that I know of. However we are not at that hill "yet", and we'll deal with it when it comes to that point. Personally I'm not looking foward to next generation home entertainment consoles. Not going to talk about why, or start an argument. Just not really looking foward to it. |

No, they have stated that when the PS4 comes out they're going to burn down their headquarters and commit mass suicide. 
You should really just read a couple of interviews with CCP, they've stated that they plan to maintain Dust in the same way that they continue to maintain EVE. As new tech comes out, Dust will be progressively updated to take advantage of it.
Edit: There is also a search button in these forums, and there have been a few threads already discussing this. |

Where have any of us said that they won't be taking the PS4 into account? In fact, we've all been saying that they've already said they'll be doing so. Did you read any of the other posts in this thread before replying? |

PS4 also wouldnt be made until it can litterally curbstomp the ps3 into the ground (something even some current high end computers have a problem doing outside the memory constraints) |

For the record - Sony hasn't even hinted that they are on the verge of PS4 and have recently announced new incarnations of the the PS3 in slim format with more memory. Also their stance is that the PS3 has a lot of untapped potential. Most estimates I've read put the PS4 at a 2014 or 2015 release date. |

It is probably a ways off before we even have a PS4, but from what I've heard, CCP will be supporting Dust for at least the next 4 years. And if the game is as successful as it potentially can be, then we will probably see a next-gen version on Sony's next console.  |

Hilmar already said that dust could be moved to a new gen platform in an interview a long time ago. Obviously it would mean a lot of work but as most data are hosted on EVE's servers, it's totally doable. |
