There will be plenty of ways for DUST players to make money that don't rely on EVE. If an EVE corp hires a DUST corp, then obviously the money will come from the EVE corp. Corps will be able to have both also. |

As far as corp to corp pay is concerned, I would think that there will be contracts to take care of this issue. |

I would also expect the Eve Player Corp initiated contracts to be MUCH more lucrative than the factional warfare ones. |

You can make isk either way but your surger daddy will be an eve player. We can make money but nowhere near what those pod pilots do. |

Corps won't be implemented until 2013. Plenty of time to worry about that later. |

Unless DUST players get into the manufacture of parts for ships. Designs and modules exclusive to the creation by DUST players would build a bit of balance between the two games by allowing flow both ways. |

I don't read it that way. Good DUST companies will be paid well. There will be several income streams available to DUST corps and individual Mercs. There will be co-manufaturing with EVE corps. Let alone EVE/DUST hybrid corps. In fact the hybrid corp will be the norm - too many advantages born of synergies.
At the beginning of course there will be a dispairity(yet some of you already have a tidy little warchest, don'tca ? ;) ). But in the long run, DUST corps will be hiring EVE corps for orbital support, intelligence gathering, logistics, diversions and a lotta weird **** i ain't even thotta yet.
Think about it - when your crew is finally out in zerozero putting yer money where yer big-f'in-mouth is aren't you gonna hire backup to watch your backup? You bet you will, bub.
The market will go both ways because IT'S a MARKET, not a game.
I think a lot of you fps guys(soon to be turned into something you won't even recognize as your former fps-selves) are thinking that the game is going to be rigged against you. It won't. Yes, CCP will be cautious at the beginning(that's why I love them, they're f'in SMART), but in the end, your ISK will be as good as my ISK.
I don't think any of you have jumped down the rabbit-hole yet, tbqh. |

Vrain, it seems that you speak with a firsthand knowledge. What you say is true. This is an FPS that will be unlike any other FPS out there. Being an Eve player as well as being involved with an alliance I have been on the other side of this rabbit hole you speak of.
Sovereign territories are jealously protected in Eve and the resources the planets provide are worth a lot. As it is now no one can bother colonies that you have on planets (through Planetary Interaction) but I have a feeling that will change. Especially in null-sec, WH (wormhole) and low sec space. High sec space will be probably be different since it cannot be player controlled. If mercs can control territory on planets which in affect can remove resources from your enemies control it puts them at a disadvantage. This assumes though that what I have said is true.
So it will benefit the Eve players a lot to pay well, especially the merc's that can maintain control of territories.
There is a lot of ISK in Eve. The amount of ISK we make now pales in comparison to what can be made by Eve players. The mission payouts now are comparable to the L1 missions in Eve but later I bet merc's will be making a lot of ISK if they have the patience to hang in there long term.
Myself, I already have plans to be a part of a corp that is in the alliance I am currently a part of in Eve to help keep what we control in our grubby little mitts. I am excited about the possibilities of how Dust is actually going to affect Eve. |

At the beginning of the game's release to the public, there will not be that many mercs roaming around New Eden at first. Given enough time and enough players joining in and forming corporations that one day might be war decced in high sec just like in Eve, we might see a rise in the number of conquerable planets being controlled somewhere around 2014. At that point, we can expect to see planets being contracted by the mercs to the Eve corps for better payouts. |
