You will get killed by people who have more armor than you unless they make awful mistakes. So true! I'm glad others realize this. Funny how anyone not using an AR is a scrub. Sounds like you just lack the sense to change your tactics for different enemies. Only those grinding in tanks and dropships are labeled as scrubs and fps noobs
This is war, there will have to be vehicle specialists in your Corp. I don't think people at war would just send infantry, both sides want to win, so they will do whatever it takes to win. And also there are things called Forge guns, Swarm Launchers and other AV Items. You aren't meant to be Jack of all Trades and be able to do everything yourself. Im a Forge Gunner and Vehicles don't get on my nerves at all because I destroy whatever vehicle I see. Thats where Teamwork and Corps. come into play, you are going to have a organized group of people of all the dropsuits and weapon types. If you are assault you focus on Infantry, Assault isn't something that would take down a tank by themselves. |

Tanks are suppose to be strong, people have upgraded the shields or armor to make up that way, if they spend all there time on one thing, they deserve to have something strong. Strongest tank I've seen took 7 or 8 forge gun shots to destroy, but it was destroyed. Just because you yourself can't destroy them doesn't mean they are over powered. To me people in vehicles are free kills. Also, I will say this again, Why do I come across like an EVE player when I have never played EVE. I'm just saying common sense.

You come across like an eve player because you say nooby stuff. It shouldn't take 7-8 forge gun shots to kill a tanks. Maybe 2-3.
This is the Future, Tanks have armor made out much different material then tanks are made of in real life, and these tanks have a thing called Shields which are pretty much a force field that negates damage done to the armor, and each hit the shield losses some power to it. So the longer you spend on increasing the Shields and armor, the more abuse the tanks can take. Just look at other futuristic stuff, for example Futuristic movies even have Shields/Force fields on there stuff and look how much it takes to destroy them. This game is no where near our age of technology with that kind of stuff. Plus, they don't even have all the AV equipment in this beta yet. And right now in the beta, vehicles don't have a stacking penalty so they can stack as much armor or shields onto their vehicles as they can. Which CCP is working on to fix it. So they will be weaker in the released game.
EDIT: But we are slowly getting there with the technology |

Again, look at futuristic movies and such. Shields/Force fields can take hits like crazy no matter what hits it, unless someone uses an EMP type item to deactivate the shield. Which we don't know if an item like that will be in Dust or not when it releases.
