I was hoping that Dust 514 would be fun and unique, but it honestly feels like every other online FPS game I've ever played, but flavored like EVE. It doesn't really bring anything new or innovative to the table that I can't get from playing the games that I already play. I appreciate being selected for this beta, but I think I'm done. After playing but a handful of times I feel like I've gotten all that I'm gonna get outta this one. |

I'm sorry you feel that way. This is a closed beta still so it should be expected to be a raw game at the moment. Don't take this build as what you should expect at launch or even in the near future after launch. To be honest, I'm skeptical that they will get this game out even this year at this rate. They haven't even released most of the ground installtions and bases we can put on planets or even the RTS mode that a commander will have during corp battles and eve battles. I hope you continue to come back and check it out in the future don't let this moment take away a chance to play it again |

you should go to youtube and watch fanfest for eve they talk about all the different things that eve will have and what things they are kicking around. and the best thing is like eve dust will be getting fixes upgrades all the time to make it the best it can. i understand your feeling about the game but just stay with them ccp is in my mind the best developler because they dont give up on there games. |

As others have mentioned the beta we've been playing is still very limited in showing what the game has to offer. I'm hoping that what has been developed already is mostly a completed game, and we are just beta testing certain portions of it, like the multiplayer aspects like hit-test issues, latency, server load, etc. We haven't yet seen any of the single-player options that will hopefully be available at launch (which would provide adequate training for new players coming from other FPS games).
My concern is that we are in fact seeing everything they have developed (up to the last build anyways) and if so, I think they are still a year off from releasing this game. If they choose to stick to their schedule and release prematurely, I'm extremely concerned that a poor first impression won't just hurt Dust514, it would also hurt EVE Online and CCP as a company.
Many things are riding on the success of Dust. |

Issues aside, the actual FPS gameplay is indeed generic. I wish it was more innovative, but seems like innovation is in everywhere except combat. Its still enjoyable to me since I like high health games, especially those with very accurate hipfire.
I think this might be on purpose though to make gameplay feel familiar to other FPS games. The mssive amount of content coming though more than makes up for it. |

I've said this elsewhere: the key to DUST's success is in attracting and retaining FPS player - not EVE players, not MMO players. The MMO aspect of the game is not enough to attract EVE players, and I bet not that many of them have a PS3. The MMO aspect is also not deep enough to attract non-EVE MMO players.
So we're left with FPS players - it is an FPS, after all. And for that the FPS mechanics have to be flawless and unique. There are very good FPSs out there, and there are big names released in the coming months; the competition is really stiff.
DUST will succeed or fail based mainly on the quality of its FPS gameplay. |

It could be more specifig, vague feedback like "i dont like this game cuz" doesn't help all that much, it's all in the details, can we get some plox? ^^ and how much can you actually get out from this state of beta with "handfull of games" :D
just give more details, make us understand |
