I have just registered my beta key, created a character and verified my email address. After I select my recently created character, the loading wheel spins... and spins... and spins... Until I get a message saying that I have been disconnected from the server and that it is not available. Is anyone else having this problem?
I have done a speed test to confirm that my PS3 has a strong internet connection, and it does. The loading wheel doesn't just spin for an excessive (5-30 mins) amount of time after character selection, but for all the login steps up to and after. I was actually able to get into the game for a short amount of time. After pulling up my Neocom and leveling a couple skills, I tried leveling a skill and the dreaded loading wheel appeared again. I let it run for about 20 minutes before I quit the game and started the login process again.
I am located in Northwest Arkansas. Could this problem be due to my distance from the CCP NA server? I tried a speed test from various servers all around NA, including NY, Chicago and Dallas and never had a speed below 5 Mb/s, averaging over 10 down and 5 up. |

I just got my key a few hours ago. I'm trying to get in right now. Could it just be a backlog/traffic issue? |

Seriously. I was so excited to play this and I have been staring at the stupid wheel all day. Is no one else having any problems logging in? I cannot figure this out. |

Hmmm. I have a great connection on my laptop only a few feet from the PS and as I said I had good numbers on my speed tests from the PS. Could it be a port issue with the router maybe? But it's weird. It checks and loads updates just fine. |
