I want a laser SMG that fires laser beams and can shoot something at 100 yards.
I want a gatling laser gun.
I want a laser handgun that has selectable single shot, semiauto or full auto options.
Please can we have the laser sounds of Fallout Three Gatling lasers??
Please, please some laser weapons??? |

ranges are longer with different weapon class. So light blaster(ar) having longer range then sidearm autocannon(smg) make sense still. If a light autocannon is ever made(light machine gun?) it should be longer range then ar and less then sniper for example.
the laser smg should be longest range side arm, rail gun(sniper rifle already called mini) and artillery sidearms(grenade pistol?) would be strange. Why would a laser smg have longer range than a scrambler and grenade pistols have been done in real life and kz3
I can hit the Earths Moon with a laser.
Call me when you can do that with either bullets or grenades. |

No portable railguns.
Lasers right now can burn out a Tangoes eyes and even a 120 milliwatt laser pointer can instablind a Tango for permanent.
I can cut metal with a laser at long range.
The laser pointers batteries are tensy,tiny, itty bitty things.
Portable.

Blinding someone and cutting through futuristic armor instantaneously are two entirely different things. Lasers that powerful would require large power supplies and would generate tremendous heat. I wasn't going to bring up the realism issue, but since you did first...
