Can we have a medium ground APC? Between the buggy and the tank? I don't think that the dropships give enough cover to deploying troops. Some thing like the APC from Aliens would be nice - it had 2 weapon mounts (1 Heavy & 1 light) and space for 10 to 12 troops in side & was armoured and fast |

I would say only there could be a variations.
Regular APC Two light turret mounts
Fits 6 troops
Moderate-Low amount of slots
Slight focus on shields
Moves at a speed between LAV and HAV
Logistics APC One light turret mount
Fits 4 troops
High amount of slots
Focus on shields
Same moderate speed
Fast Attack APC Three light turret mounts
Fits 6 troops
Low amount of slots
Focus on shields
Closer to an LAV speedwise
Cover APC One light turret
Fits 4 troops
Medium amount of slots
Heavy Armor focus
Close to an HAV speed
These are my particular ideas. I think the APC should not cram that many troops inside though, as you can only fit 6 troops in a dropship at the moment.
The APC could be a good platform for tasks a dropship would normally perform, but cannot due to heavy enemy anti air presence. |

I would like to see (mind you I don't really use dropships unless someone is flying one to a designation) Objectives for a dropship. Say squad commander gives order to defend/attack a designation the dropship gets extra SP for flying mercs to the location? Picking up members that are low health and evacing them to a safe location should be worth SP. Flying snipers to locations that are key locations for a sniper to be in should reward extra SP. This makes the Dropship more like what it should be used for (the movement of troops to and from key locations).
Extra points for defending or attacking areas needed for control. Yes if a squad leader marks something you get extra SP I know that but the Dropship commander/driver or what not should get points for doing the job they where intended to do rather flying around crashing into mercs on the field. Yes crashing into them is a tactic and a good one (if you can't dodge a wrench you can't dodge a dropship Not sure where I stole that from) I need to find out so I can plus you haha.
ah heck im drunk and lost my train of thought or rather I want another drink so I am done talking for a few . |

i think APC should have one small turrent, and no large turret, but i think they should have the armor of a tank and carry 6 people as for having diffrent version just give it a bunch a modules to customize it for what ever role you want.
the APC is not meant to be a threat to other tanks its meant to get troops into a combat zone and provide limited infintry support, but its also meant to take a beating and protect the guys inside so i think a small turret could accomplsih the support its supposd to give, and heavy armor to protect the troops inside. but any large turrent slot would make the APC just make it a better tank that also transport infintry. |

There should be two sizes of APCs. Small: A bit more HP of a LAV and a bit faster with a repair unit and a nanohive inside and 5-6 seats. Large: A bit larger and slower than the small with a bit more HP than a HAV. It should have a complete supply depot which is also usable for people outside and 7-8 seats. Both have no turrets.
If they had a turret they would be better than the LAV in every case and nobody would use them anymore. |

i think there should be one size since i mean the APC is meant for one purpose getting troops to the field of combat and making sure they get in cobmat, so something thats almost as fast as the lav just with out the maneuverability but enough armor to take direct blows from tanks and AV weapons, a small turret to remove infintry from the drop off point and room for 6 soldiers 1 pilot and 1 gunner.
so far how i understand it LAV: scouting vehicle and mobile turrent platform HAV:support ground forces with lots of Anti infinry, destroy vehicles and materials with AV, or breach enemy chokepoint/defense Dropship: Airbourne transport to frontlines for infintry Gunship: yet TBA infintry support or Anti tank. MTAC: SOON are urban heavy support APC:troop transport to front lines

well they did say ten vehicle types. Of which 8 would be available on release. And we already have four, I hope APCs are in the other four. |
