classic and very accurate. Yep, old, and accurate. Well, only if you flatten the WoW curve a lot.

ATM. we have like 10% of the entire game.
wait until we have it to say where the skill ceiling lies. Bullshit is bullshit. if the game doesnt live up to its potential, ill be right along there with ya calling it like it is. Fortunately we are still in testing and i cant wait for next build. |

Just calling it like I see it. I know we don't have the full game yet. I am tired of hearing that though. We are here to test and give our opinion on the current build. This current build does not take very much skill or have a steep learning curve at all imo. The only curve is the SP/grind curve and that has nothing to do with skill or learning the game. I could start a new character and get wrecked by people with better gear. That has nothing to do with skill or the learning.
and i fully agree dude. im saying that is only the reason because of the limited part of the game we are dealing with. Im trying to get the excitement up for the next build. |

Meh. Learning curves are different from person to person, and from game to game. I think upon release of Dust514 the learning curve will be steepe, and especially in terms of the FPS genre. Atleast that is my opinion.
agree with you there. At least significantly more than what we have right now. |

You can bet the learning curve will be steep come release time. All the people that have been beta testing dust for months and months will be used to the game and wrecking on the noobs. That's only if people get good by then though.
cant wait for STB grouping. Crimson, you KNOW what i mean. |

Rorek IronBlood wrote:Actually I doubt that we (the testers) are going to be allowed the time or oppertunity to play with everything CCP has intended for Dust514. There are a number of mechanics in which we see hints towards, but still actual footage or idea as to how they will peform or function within Dust514. I'm very interested in what other game modes we'll see as well in terms of -- Player vs. Player -- and if infact we'll also see some form of -- Player vs. Enviroment -- type gameplay. We have yet to see how districts will play together, and interact with one another for instance, or how salvaging will play out. We'll also all have to adapt to the free market and how that will affect gameplay, and players. I mean honestly there is a lot missing, and probably even more mystery and questions. In terms of difficulty, and actual learning curve? I think it will be increadibly high in terms of the whole game. Above average if you want nothing more then to play an FPS game as I get the feeling the mechanics there are still not at all what CCP has yet to show us, and as the game evolves as a whole the FPS mechanic will only get more difficult especially in terms of how a player will have to adapt to certain situations. I may be wrong, but I just get the feeling CCP has yet to stock the -- proverbial -- all you can eat buffet if you will. It's still hours away hours away from opening. Ha-ha.
