As of this posting, there have been five major sources of nerf threads (Swarm Launcher, HMG, CreoDron Breach, Forge Gun, and Remote Explosive) and four major sources for buff threads (shotguns, blaster turrets, tactical ARs, and maybe mass drivers, opinions be mixed on this one.) We all know that there are some underlying issues with the game as well (spotty detection, short render distance, people using weapons they aren't skilled at and expecting to be good).
So I propose this: to avoid what has happened to the Heavy and HMG, maybe we can just NOT BUFF OR NERF ANYTHING until CCP confirms that the issues under its control have been fixed?
Some support for this idea (COMMENT ABOUT THE TOP PORTION, NOT ABOUT THIS SUPPORT): Creo users say that it seems OP because of the low RoF, and therefore better hit detection. Same argument, in reverse, is applied to the Blaster Turrets. Shotguns have a ton of power if they hit, but the detection doesn't let them, so nothing can be done. |

Totally agree, hit detection should be fixed to a good measure before nerfing or buffing anything seriously. |

If I recall something similar like this happened in Call Of Duty Black Ops.A couple days after the game had started people were complaining that the Enfield was extremely overpowered......Treyarch being the good guy gregs that they are nerfed the enfield and then (Here comes the sweet part ) the hit detection got better over the two weeks and everything was working as it was supposed to and to this very day the enfield is the worst AR in the game because of whiney little 13 year olds. |

While I agree that they should fix hit detection, but I don't think that's the issue with Blaster Turrets. Ever sit in Skirmish plateau and watch a guy fire the blaster installation at you? 1 shot ever 3/4 of a second or so (very roughly) when the audio implies 3 shots fired every second. I believe there might be a similar issue with AR in general, they fire so quickly that only ever other bullet fired hits. SMG as well, emptying an 80 round mag in the general area of someone should kill them, but usually doesn't (for me anyways, but I'm unskilled XD). Just saying, it might not be hit detection at all.
But yes, fix other major issues before tweaking individual weapons/groups. |
