When I first got into the beta and read the introduction in the last build I felt like I was stepping into the Eve universe (well sort of anyway). But after the endless fights and using alot of explosives in futile attempts to send heavy troopers into space...I was wondering if we will get anymore story or interaction with the universe with what we are doing on this little planet at the moment. Will the test be canonical, will we have some revelations shown to us in a cinematic presentation at the end of the beta?
I feel like I want to write some dust fiction but everything is so obscure! Will we see more CCP?! |

Well, there some fiction our there. The dust chronicles, stranded, and templar one i recomend goingto the eve community page go to the backstory and read that stuff too. All but the two novels there r combined into the eve book so u can read r,them together. |

Eve has the "evelopedia" linked below. Its basically got everything from lore to how to play the game. Its should be freely accessible to anyone and there are hundreds of stories and articles on the eve universe.

From what I've gathered on the fact that this is Mordu's Private Trials (for eve players at least) and the recent 514 Chronicle - we're the ones who are undergoing the tests of the prototype technology for our particular factions before being fielded. |

Yes but why did Mordu send out the '514' message if the number '514' was related to Dust implant technology that had a defect of sleeper technology. It's one of those times I wish we could read some kind of notes on the battlefield that had to do with the story. |

I've read all the books, and I know no more than you do. That little piece of information is something we just don't know about, and I have a feeling its going to stay that way until we really start getting EVE integration. They might even be planning a live-event around the "revelation" or something. The novel Templar One is an excellent source of other backstory, though. Does a really good job of introducing everything we're working with right now, as well as Murya Mordu himself. |

It's a new EVE chronicle entitled "514" I would suggest this as a good read if you haven't already.

EVE has an entire site dedicated to back-stories. I've never played EVE but am quickly catching up with a bunch of stuff. I started with DUST and worked my way backwards. I like to know some of the history and lore of any MMO / RPG I play; for me it helps understand certain aspects of the game, but then again I like to RP so - take it as you wish.
As far as Mordu and the 514 message, guess we'll have to wait and see exactly what that was. Considering we are Templar's (immortals), are we really test subjects or are we just trying to leave w/e dimensional plane we are on and invade the EVE universe? |

That trailer is (loosely) based off of some of the events of Templar One, so I'd recommend anyone reading inclined take a look at that. |
