Just a thought. |

This is exactly what i was thinking, but then I realized that CCP would probably want us to spend our skills the way we want, not automatically leveling in skills we exercise. Still a good idea I hope they consider. It would make skill upgrading seem more natural and less mechanical. |

The other problem is that most items are affected by *multiple* skills. For instance, when you fire an assault rifle, you're taking advantage of levels in Assault Rifle, Weaponry, and four Light Weapon subskills. Which one(s) get the "passive" SP? I think it's better to let the player decide which bits they want to excel at.

I would say it would only affect Assault Rifle, as the sub skills are more like individual weapon upgrades. The Weaponry Skill is affected by all weapons, so not sure how they handle that. Again, just a thought. |

Light Weapon Capacity/Sharpshooter/Rapid Reload/(I'm missing one) all affect any Light weapon - and according to some people, also any weapon equipped in a Light Weapon slot on your suit. Same goes for Heavy and Sidearm versions of the same skills. |

Already confirmed. So SOONGäó

Quote: So how does the leveling system work?
DUST 514 players can train skills for combat. These skills will help to enhance their armor so they can take more damage, upgrade their abilities with certain weapons, use vehicles more effectively and much more. Leveling up also unlocks abilities to use advanced weaponry and more powerful vehicles. Skills can be learned in the background as well--players can walk away from DUST 514 for an hour or a day, come back and see that theyGÇÖve leveled up something new.
Will probably work same way as in EVE. You queue up the skill and it will level automatically. Not exactly what OP suggested, but similar. |
