To clarify I don't think of joining any organization as a one way investment, I have a bunch of friends who used to compete with some pro-gamers and kick some serious ass, but it really does depend on the team your working with... As such I'd love to play with you guys when the group systems get settled, or throw together a team of my own and play against and mix it up a little.
Depending how it pans out, maybe I'll be interested and bring a couple of my friends along with me and give you another solid squad or two. However, unlike most I'm not looking for a random group to jump into, and I'm not looking for a quick corp fix and forget style gameplay... Basically, if I don't 'enjoy' playing and bullshitting with you guys enough, that playing frequently comes second nature and doesn't feel like its forced or obligated, then I'm not interested...
None the less, feel free to hit me up, I'm a dedicated vehicle specialist who's almost maxed out all of his vehicles in the BETA, I've got solid Super-Surya, Sagaris, Prometheus, and Eryx, and a pretty good logistics suit build if your a heavy looking to become an indestructible turret in and of yourself. Other then that, just tell me what you need and I'll see what I can do for you. |

I too am interested in piloting, and it sounds lie you really know your stuff!
Depends exactly what you want to know, a generally good setup regardless of what you are running is top tier guns, 2x25% Hardeners, 14% DCU, and an extender, then whatever else you can fit. Sagaris go for the nano-tank and run and gun, preferably with missiles since you can use your speed and still hit stuff easily with it. Suryas are amazing anti-tank tanks, simply because armor gets a larger HP advantage, and its repair modules heal more (Of course your trading off that passive repair that comes with Shield Tanks, but it doesn't help in a big guns fight so much as against small arms fire continually raining down on you), and then there are dropships which frankly require their own thread in terms of ways they can be used... However, it really only scratches the surface...
Regardless of how you do it, being a stingy tank driver means not helping your team as much, so its nice to have a driver who's conservative with his tank recognizing the value so he can make some isk, but when the game is going south, you have to get dirty and drive into places where you know you're going to get pounded and might even lose the vehicle. These tanks can take one hell of a beating, but if you just can't break into someones spawn and your team isn't helping or cant get through.... I've throw my tanks into 5 forge gunners before at least one with a proto-design, and pulled out alive having taken the the point and pushed the enemy back into their spawn, granted I wasn't looking too pretty... I know a lot of the tank drivers here will say that sort of play is stupid, and I admit that there have been games where I've lost my tank knowing I would, but its half the fun, and the game isn't about kill to death ratios, or even ALWAYS making a profit... When maps and planets are worth something I think people will start to get that, for now, it isn't sinking in...
Anyways that's my two cents going to get off my platform now and try logging in =). |
