The reason I'm posting here is because this is so obvious it can't possibley be a bug. The mass driver has what? 3-4 sheels in a drum? So how come it has a 6 shell drum in the reload animation? Doesn't make much sense... |

Was wondering the same thing, thought it was for the Light weapons ammunition skill. Says something like gives you 3% to 5% (not sure which) to ammo capacity.
Not sure if this means how much in a mag or in how much you hold on your person? If it increases mag count that would explain it and I hope so cause i got the Freedom and boosting the blast radius cause i wasn't sure about this either. I don't need more shells, I need rounds in a mag, four doesn't cut it right now! |

If mass driver gets more rounds and maybe highter RoF i could see it being very nice. i still use it. Its fun shooting over the shoulders of blue dots and watching the red dots scatter is funny. |

I like the mass driver and am determined to become a master of it. That being said right now it does kinda suck. 4 shots in a drum that looks like it can hold 8, on top of a slow reload hurts this weapon and the fact that 2 or 3 of those rounds will most likely be duds and not explode really sucks. Nothing better than seeing a scout shrug off a center mass shot from a grenade launcher. But I will say when the mass driver is working right and you get alittle better at the aiming it can become a beast. |

I have used it for all of ten minutes and this is the most accurate description.
Dropping four grenades beside or into a scout and having him kill me while I'm reloading is a little frustrating. |

Once corps and grouping starts I see the idea of blasting an area to support your team and I've used it to protect B several times. My finest moment was 3 kills in a row while running and dodging in my logo suit so I didn't die, that was one of the days when the mass driver was actually working lol. But I won't give up on it, I like being one of the few that use it lol. |

There are lots of things that could be done to help fix the Mass Driver. One of those things is to boost splash damage though I must say that's not the change I'm hoping for.
I want to see Mass Driver rounds use proximity fuses. The Mass Driver is a squad support weapon and giving it the ability to actually hit things like LAV or dropships with splash so they keep at range works towards that role from the AV side without making then too OP Being able to fire over or around cover to force people into friendly lines of fire helps the role form an infantry support fire side. You just need the round detect when a valid target enters some inner sphere maybe about half the range of the blast and then have it go off just long enough that you still get the chance to score a direct hit if the rounds on target.
TL/DR: We have the tech now to have a weapon like this explode at predetermined ranges and having the gun auto configure for that might be enough to fix it without breaking it again. |

that would be so abusable i can already see nerf threads in the making.....
they just need to make the mass driver actually act and feel like a grenade launcher. |

Would like to hear if there is gonna be more rounds or what the scoop is on this under utilized weapon. Also I see the best way of using this weapon right now, is on high ground with a nano hive covering an objective. I usually am on top of platform in between A,B and C, raining down hell.
I use the proto Freedom with lvl 3 reload and lvl 3 blast radius with complex light weapon modifier. Gonna up radius first then reload, if I hear that ammo capacity goes to your magazine and not your total amount on you, I'll go that route asap. |

Love them .. even though they are hella glitchy. Used them the whole build (cuz it was new and I was under the apparently mistaken impression we were beta-testing), got alot more assists than actual kills but still managed 5 or 6 on average and you can herd the comeatmebros like lemmings which is uber fun and useful to team play. As the build stands not to good for e-peen length though. Thankfully my self-worth isn't based on video games.
Feedback thread is here -->https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=29079&find=unread .. anyone who actually used it more than once I welcome your contributions and suggestions. |

Mass Driver is awesome. I have weaponry lvl 5, mass Driver operation lvl 5, proficiency lvl 4, and upgrades in Reload and total ammo. I can kill almost any dropsuit (except tanked out heavies) with 2 well placed rounds. Once you get skilled and good at gauging its trajectory it becomes a savage beast of a weapon. But, of course, it is my weapon of choice, so I wouldn't mind a buff |

This.
Once you get good with the trajectory, you can one/two-shot players easily. I sniped snipers with it a few times. Man it's fun to watch them go flying.
The biggest draw backs are slow reloading, only 4 shots per load, and you have to constantly stay close to nanohives. I carry 4 hives now with the proto assault suit. |

So it's only total ammo that you get when you boost that skill? So the extra tubes are for what, different types of ammo? |

Yeah, its only total ammo and doesn't give you extra rounds in the tube. I'm hoping they buff it to 6 rounds, or at least make the Tsunami Mass Driver 6 rounds when they release it. |

It does nice in close quarters, a bit unwieldly but shooting around corners and doing that splash damage keeps groups and individuals on their toes. |

Thanks sake, good looking +1.
I like being one of the few that use this weapon, takes getting use to but is definitely fun alternative to running around with my AR or going my AV role. Keeps the game fresh and gives you an idea of what you wanna be in final build. |

I've been having decent success with it, only thing for my dream to come true is either for more rounds, or for the adv/proto heavy to have an equipment slot (maybe they do, I havn't been able to check, stupid reduced fitting tab).
I still like it for the moment using it in concert with an smg for when it runs out of ammo. |

I've also seen and talked to several other players who do quite well with the Mass Driver, but haven't had the chance to fight them.
Based on the conversations I've had with Mass Driver users, it probably could use a buff in blast damage. As a scout, I can pretty much just rush down anyone using it by jumping a couple times. If I don't touch the ground, they can't do any significant amount of damage to me, even with the Freedom MD. They should be able to at least heavily cripple me with the splash damage, especially when I'm lunging straight at them, it feels like they are too helpless in those situations. |

no I have no idea what he's talking about. It's unfinished. you're assuming they haven't allready changed it on the next build. They aren't stupid. |
