I've been noticing that every time a round of one-week Beta Keys expire a bunch of.. well... formerly anonymous people come out posting things like they Deleted Dust.
Taking another look at it, it seems similar to such reactions as found in the following situation.
Situation: Subject did not receive a second week's beta code, so instead of "I can't play because I'm not allowed in." they try to change it to "I can't play cause I don't want to", then to boost said self-convincing they proclaim "I Deleted the Game" for the world to see, as backup and mental fallback.
Interesting really, I'm taking a very cursory glance at this subject in my Psychology class... what was it called? Reaction Formation... no that's close but not quite on the mark.

Ignorance breeds stupidity. They refer to this game as Halo because they have no frakking clue what Eve Online is, or the nature of consequence influxxed by action. |

I'm afraid I like the tears of the weak, they are nectar. I fail constantly but in trying, I succeed.
How many millions have a ps3 if even a fraction try Dust and a fraction of those stay, how quickly will it dwarf it's progenitor for concurrent users. It's not like there is a huge array of choice available on that format. |

I believe the number of active PSN accounts is around the 60 million mark. If Dust can gather 5% of players, thats still 3 million - I think it's got a pretty big shot, considering EVERYONE knows what EVE is. |

Well.. Dust is going to be free on release.. so I assume a minimum of 25% will play it over time. No no, not all at once, that'd be ridiculous... but rumors will probably bring people in and out of the front gate, and there will probably be people who pass by "Just to try" ya know? |

Yep, people waste hours playing PS Home mini-games and collecting stuff.
