i roll a proto heavy, proto smg, and proto forge with 3 complex heavy mods in one fit.....its certainly is not underpowered, since it does what its meant to do effectively but it still has weaknesses, so its also not overpowered. I like the way they are. People using hmg's need to learn how to tailor their play styles to the weapon and use it in a map that is more hmg friendly. Current skirmish map is tailored for vehicles, the one thing hmgs cant do |

Current skirmish map is tailored for vehicles, the one thing hmgs cant do Hmgs and smgs actually make the best av weapons(smg a lot better) because of their high damage potential coupled with a large target means normally missed rounds going into one target but both have a low effect on dropships due to range. I chewed through about half of a sagaris' shield using advanced hmg and smg
i hope you try and smg my tank to death as well. please, i beg of you.
gotta say, there was probably someone who was also doing damage to the sagaris or he had some kind of **** fitting, or he was a **** tank.......either way, there were definitely some form of shenanigans happening there.
also, shields have petty resistances compared to armor i believe.... |

lol i do always appreciate a competent gunner and teammate. I can drive a lot better and pull off more complex maneuvers when i know my gunner can understand what im trying to do. A lot of the time, ill let the gunners have the kill instead of going after everything with my main gun....then i dont have to expose my tank to enemy fire.
Yes, the sagaris has much more shield than armor.

Yes, the sagaris has much more shield than armor. Even though i like gunning for you, i would rather use a railgun than missiles but the only advantage railguns have is accuracy. Other than that it's inferior to the other turrets
WELL ****!!!
noted bud, next time ill pull out the relevant fit. I even already have one made. Problem is most scrubs just jump out when they see a small railgun instead of a missile turret.
All you had to do is ask.
edit: you prefer a front or top railgun? |

Front for a bit more av/ installation capability and the top seems like more of an anti infantry spot because of it's wider coverage. Also i find it to be bs that the top turrets don't have 360 coverage like lavs.
believe the top turret FOV is a reported bug.
If you can hit something and not waste my time, ill make sure to have your turret ready.

ill give ya a round and see how it works, but i might force a missile turret on you...in a marauder the missiles just do so much more damage, and even if you can get a hit with a railgun, it prob wont be a OHK when you can usually get a OHK with just the splash on a missile...
also, being able to utilize splash is nice when you have the option. |
