OK this is what usually happends: A new game starts, you press X to choose your spawning location. It takes some time (4-6 seconds for me) to load your list of dropsuit fittings. Then you choose one and spawn.
Do this and you can skip the loading time for the dropsuit fittings for the whole match: in the lobby of a new game (where the 2min timer counts down and you walk arround in a ship and you see the planet in background), pres START and open FITTING -> DROPSUIT FITTING It doesnt matter if you make any fitting changes, as long as your fitting's are open when the game is starting, your list of dropsuit fittings is loaded instantly.
Edit: Quote for truth

Watch out for ticking letters and packets in the near future ;) I guess there are quite some people that don't like whistleblowers. But to be honest this thing is close to an exploit as it utilizes a bad game mechanic to use an advantage. Let's hope it will be ironed out soon(tm) ;)

I'l get prepared ;) This is a beta and I will post any and all finds. I gave it some tought if its considered an exploit or not. At the end I decided its a "fix" for a broken game mechanic (by my means: how it should be). Since you dont gain anything, no SP / ISK / Kills etc, but just a few secs of time...
Edit: Once the servers are back I wanna test this:
from station (not lobby) do the same while "waiting for battle", gotta be pretty quick though :) |

I tried this over the weekend and it does in fact work. I believe it is due to how the UI mechanics work.
The War-Room appears to be tied to the battle. The same as when you get put back to your merc quarters. When you go to your dropsuit, it takes a second to load up all the data (looks to be due to pre-rendering all the suits). When you do this in the War-Room, you are technically already "in battle" so opening the Dropsuit menu pre-renders. So when the counter hits 0:00, your game automatically starts (there is no loading screen) and since your suits are now "pre-loaded," there is no need to wait for them to be pre-rendered
At least that what it appears to me is happening |

Liked, because I liked it more than I disliked you asking for likes.
I wondered why some people spawned much faster.. now I know.
I was starting to wonder if I needed an SSD or something, given I have a fast ISP connection. |

I don't see the instant drop suit window as a bug. In fact i think that the long loading time for the window is the bug, therefore this "near to an exploit" is nothing more than a hotfix / workaround until the insanely long dropsuit window loading time at the beginning is fixed. |
