Well like I said, if you're using the Surya the wrong way, then he was right in telling you that you're wrong. I wasn't there so I can't evaluate exactly what you were doing with it, but he may have some merit to what he's saying.
Also, you're being a bit melodramatic, so expect flak from the forums...that's how these things work. |

Chill out bro, its just a game. it doesnt matter what you drive.....you can put anything on either one right now and if you are so early in your tanking skills that you only have the base turret then you shouldnt even have that tank out in the first place....tryin to save you guys money here....a lot of it.
I have all tank related skills maxed out at level V, I think I've been around long enough to know what I'm doing =) |

Blasters may deal the most DPS close up but they have really bad damage fall off range, so they're really only most effective close up. Railguns however have exceptionally long effective range, which makes them a bit more flexible in terms of killing power.
As for artillery, I'll need a bit more info on what exactly it'll be like before I'll get too excited. I love my Railgun so much, it'll be hard to let it go. |

*shrugs* I like picking off people from across the map. Just don't be too cocky about it, most tank drives are idiots but not everyone is so easily outwitted =)
As for Large Autocannons, I really don't think they'll be all that effective but I've gotta run a few matches with like 4-giant gatling guns mounted to the main turret....if only for intimidation and badassery. |

Absolutely. I have at a minimum 3 different fits for both Surya and Sageris, I tend to favor some over others, but they all get used frequently depending on the situation. Half of tanking is know when to use different tools to accomplish the task at hand, especially if you have multiple tanks coordinating together, you need to change your tactics to compliment one another. |

It's really not the damage that I am worried about. It's the turn speed of the railgun that hinders me.
Meh, turn speed has never been an issue for me with the railgun, plus being able to pick swarm and forge snipers off from the other side of the map is really nice.
But really, its personal preference, since there is no "best" weapon or fit, everything has its weakness. |

Debacle Nano wrote:Lurchasaurus wrote:I figured out how to get around the turn speed....any driver worth his salt has.....
regardless, since there is currently only one skirmish map, the amount of applications for each turret type is severely limited and it has become common practice that railguns are the way to go right now...in our one map...
itll change once the environment changes or we get differing maps I know how. But it's nearly impossible to do while moving forward without changing your course.
.....not really. I have no issues operating the chassis and the turret completely independently, being able to do that effortlessly is one of the most important skills for a tank driver to have. Also if you're "ganking" someone, that means they're sitting still, which means they have no clue what they're doing, so that's not much of an accomplishment. |

Im kinda tired so ill leave you with one last bit of advice.... A tanks weakness is its maneuverability, but weaknesses are irrelevant if the tank isnt even involved in the battle. -_- There's nothing to figure out... I have a totally different playstyle then you guys...
Well when you "gank" me, we'll see how well it goes for ya =) |
