1) Fingers disappearing during movement in the waiting room to a battle. - Not something really major, just thought it was funny.
2) Floating hands stuck on screen during death sequences. - Again, not something major, but I noticed it usually happens with anything explosive. Grenades, remote mines, exploding vehicles. I would chalk it up to realism, but usually severed hands don't float mid air ^_^
3) Flying up walls - I've noticed on a few occasions that when I run up against a wall to take cover, my character will miraculously spring up into the air. Sometimes its a cool little glitch because it almost allows you to get on top of objects that normally you can't without jumping out of a flying vehicle.
4) Grenades not going off - Several times today I tried throwing some grenades around and they just simply wont explode/do any damage to the enemy. Its like I bought a bunch of duds. Not sure if thats something for realism, but its gotten me killed a few times. Normally this only happens in a major fire fight. Might have something to do with lag, refresh rates, timeouts, or something?
5) Vehicles popping up. - Witnessed a tank's rear end pop up a few times with no apparent cause other than small bumps on the terrain that probably shouldn't have had that effect. Especially since the tank was proceeding at low speeds. Maybe Vin Diesel was in the driver seat? But It also tends to happen when I'm driving a LAV. For the most part it tends to be because of high speeds which can be somewhat believable, but i'd say that maybe it needs to be tweaked unless there is less gravity on the maps we have so far. But the LAV will do the same thing as the tank I mentioned. It will become erratic on small hills even when I'm proceeding slowly, jumping a few feet into the air in awkward positions.
6) Small tank gun view clipping into the interior of the tank itself. - When swiveling the smaller mortar cannons on the tank, the view will become obscured in certain positions by the tank model. Fairly certain I read that this is already known about, but thought it was worth mentioning with the rest of this just incase.
So far those are the only real issues i've been able to see so far.
Also, as for server testing today, I noticed a huge delay in response times from simply navigating the menus. Took forever to get through the main title screen and load times were quite long. Getting through the character sheet, marketplace, fittings, and battle menus was grueling. But as the number of people lessened, load times seemed to speed up a little bit.
So far seems like a great game with a lot of potential. Hope to see a few things added and tweaked. Can't wait for the finished game. =]
*Almost forgot, several places on the map seem to cause my character to become stuck. I mainly play Skirmish on (Plateau), but I believe its happened on Ambush (Communication) as well. Usually I can recreate the problem under pipes and low hanging ceilings, but sometimes it will randomly happen when i'm running over the top of a hill or down/up the side of one. Its not a height issue as I can attempt to run the same path with no problem. Not really sure why it randomly happens, but i'll have to keep jumping and turning or commit suicide to eventually get out of it. |
