Debacle Nano Shadow Company HQ 639	Posted - 2012.07.29 01:21:00 - [1] - Quote ..because I was using a hybrid fit... I fit it to act like a Sagaris and was 22/0. I thought I was doin pretty good. Then I was ganked by like 6 or 7 people. The tragedy. Well the fit works great if you want a armor tanking surya that acts like a sagaris.

Probably not since armor = slow and slow = dead. Its nice that you can have two completely different types of HAV that serve different purposes.

With reppers on I can tank about 9 forge shots.

But thats it for the rest of the round, unless a Supply Depot is nearby. Is there a major difference between Surya and Madrugar, other than the 1.5 Damage multiplier?

Probably not a huge amount beyond that. This build the difference between the Madrugar and the Surya (and the Caldari equivalents) are negligible. 55k vs 65k ISK. The previous build had the Marauders at 120k ISK for the hull, and that is probably the right cost for them to be honest.

I honestly can't seem to get a surya to tank anywhere near as well as some of the godlikie sagaris's I've seen. I use 2 sm missile, lg rail, --- the f whatever dcu (and cant decide what to put in other slot that will fit) - 120mm plate (cant remember which, either the highest hp or the a-type) , heavy efficient armor rep, 3x voltaic resists . I can keep it alive most of the time, but it just can't take consistant hits like a sagaris (when live hits I am SO going for a sagaris instead of a surya at this rate)
