ok so i see we nerfed the SL cus the last map was in close figthing wich is what the SL best hunting ground . so thw wine-O,s cry to you ccp and ask you to nerf the loving god **** out of it even tho we bouth no that you said at fanfest that this is what the SL do,s with was kill tanks and troops at mid to close range . but becus of the wine-o,s you nerf them making them just about unabul to kill troops and its bugs like locking not locking towers clone spawns and not firing to in one tap of your R1 shoots its mag out in one shot to the bugs were you lock on to something and fire and only 2 missles go affter the thing you wanted to kill.
what im asking is you put the SL the way it was and add a buffer zone at close range like a M 203,s HE or HEDP were the round must do 5 revolution in the air be for it arms its self with ands up being 14 -27 meters so with that 1 that 1 nerf you could have done you would have stoped the up close point blank fireing that a lot of SL players were doing and still keep the SL as a tank and troop killer.

Its essentially a variation on what is already happening to the Remote Explosives, with them now having a 5 second arming time. I'm still not sure about the original splash damage being returned, but even with the missiles having shaped-charge warheads, the fact that they can pretty much blow up on you and do no damage is a complete immersion breaker. +1 |

not only that if they kill the spash that makes the SL a AV only so CCP beter buff its dmgs becus a 2 man forge gun patrol can mop the floor with tanks asking why should any one us SL,s if there under powered and buggy and leave you ez to kill |

SL is very buggy.
After some thought, I'd be ok with an arming delay if I could actually be useful outside of tanks, even if it's mild.
Make it so if you have a lock though, they auto-arm immediately. |

And I'll show u another view on it, as a dropship pilot I see SML's alot and even got one (not proto but serves fine to learn it's mechanics) and now they are way overpowered... U don't have any ECM, u don't have an AB to burn away and avoid them, the only thing that worked for me(excluding kite & rep solution which is terribly wrong) is a nano caldari dropship when U dive right under them and get only splash damage, but u still get it, though I'm only mastering caldari ships, and with my top-line equipped gallente dropship(can't be nano because of the armor tanking) I had to go for dual rep kite\reping settup to be able to withstand damage of 2-3 of them from random newbies selected Militia Heavy Suit and spawn right behind me... Lock won't be lost if you targeted anything and it has flew\ride away(it won't work for tanks most of the time because of obstacles but for dropships in air it works fine) missiles will hunt you down in 95% of cases you just have to find a way to survive not avoid them... You don't get any alerts about SML targeting or firing taking in account that u need a view of target for a couple of seconds it makes it even more deadly so u always have to look from 3rd person to see if someone shoots swarm, because it's too late to start moving after you get first hit in most cases. And it can target you almost from half of the field in Communication it's easier in Biomass as higher obstacles gives less points to aim for my ship... And Plateaus map is also an easy shot for SML's it's bigger though but have a lot of turns and buildings where you can hide long enough to target and fire... So for know it's OP AA gun though it can target HAV's & LAV's as well and even create some serious problems for em coupled with the forge gun heavy, as well as FG can do alot of damage to DS but avoided much easier... And you still want it to be boosted? Relax there shouldn't be any OP weapons no matter how much you love them they should fit in a role they are made for and SML is more then doing it's job as you can judge from the rest of this post ... I hope for, and there is rumored to be more air classes so you'll have your SML fun with air units and that's what it's made for... |

The CURRENT SL nerf is temporary, they are still working on the final mechanics. CCP said as much before they nerfed it.

its its only a idea to make the SL fit into the game play and to its job how it was ment to . as for whining bro its ok to be upset about how a furry is saying how to fix a buggy thing . its ok you can stop playing internet big shot. no ones going to lol at you ...much. |
